"Yes, most definitely wise decision! Cerulean is the town of Water, yes? Would do well to train our Pokemon on way, try to train, and come back to gym!" Armo seems delighted at the idea!

The two of you head east out of town, passing out of the city of rock and heading toward Mt. Moon. It is only a short ways there, only a few hours, but about half way there you come across a small group of pokemon. Two nidoran male, one female and a jigglypuff.

Seeing the pokemon in front of the pair, Thompson stopped and looked towards Armo. "Any of these catch your eye, Armo?"

Armo eyes the group of Pokemon, and feeling particularly drawn to one of the mons, approaches the horde slowly, crouched down. "Indeed... the purple Nidoran... what bold shade, yes? I shall try my luck..." He tries to get close as he can, coming up in plain sight, without spooking the horde.

Armo greets the group of pokemon, and as it turns out his charm and good looks are enough to convince all of the nidoran of his good intentions. He strums a little on his lute and they are all hanging off his every note. They had apparently been listening to the songs of the jigglypuff, but had found a new idol, all three clustering around his feet. The jigglypuff is a bit irate over this, and after Thompson translates, appears to have challenged Armo to a musical showdown.

The musician raises an eye at the Jigglypuff. "You wish for duet, puffball? Very well, friend! Let us, how you say... ROCK!"
Armo jumps back, strumming his ukulele with such ferocity it would make a rampaging Gyarados blush in jealousy! The music pours from his fiddling fingers, and it's quite the spectacle!

The jigglypuff listens to your playing, and even applauds when you are done, and then begins to sing a sad sweet song, pouring itself into the music.

The jigglypuffs song is beautiful and wondrous, and you can tell it has a lot of talent, but the poor thing appears to be entirely to focused on the competition to keep its mind on the music. Every once in a while it would look in your direction or look at the nidoran audience and there its song would lose its focus. After the song ends, one of the nidoran males takes its side and rejoins its groupy squad, but the other pair have eyes only for you.

"Well played, my friend!" Armo kneels down to praise the Jigglypuff sincerely. "You truly have gift, yes? You must embrace gift, bring your music to the world!"
Armo then points to the two Nidoran. "I plan to try and catch Nidoran. I don't know if you would come along, friend, but you are welcome to join us on adventure!"

Thompson applauds a little bit at Armo's win before walking up to him and looking at the pokemon. "Good job, friend. Are you now ready to continue?"

Both Nidoran are Level 6, Both have the poison point ability. The male is Cuddly Natured and the female is Mild.
The Jigglypuff and its nidoran lackey stalk off, with the jigglypuff swearing it will be back, a better singer.
The two of you continue on down the path soon making it to a pokemon center right next to the entrance of Mt. Moon.

"Armo has fan club now! Ha ha ha haaaaaaa!"
The musician eyes the huge mountain that looms in front of them, and turns to Thompson. "Friend, I have many Pokemon now. Would you be open to idea of finding trainer to battle?" He nudged the Weedle adorning his shoulder. "I promise Spine he would fight, but I fear him squished by Rock-types..."

Thompson nodded a little bit before shrugging. "We can do that. Also I am with you as far as getting into the cave goes. I don't think either of us are going to have an especially good time.
Thompson then turns from Armo and begins to look for a trainer or two that would be itching for a double battle.
