The pikachu is a bit shocked that you can speak to it, but it seems happy to talk now that it knows you are not hostile. "The Protector fought a lot of the Enemy last night. More Enemy than there has been for generations. The Protector was hurt protecting a tribe of Pikachu in the north forest and so they have him in their warren and they are collecting healing berries to get him better. Hopefully the Enemy is not as strong tonight or we may have to all retreat to the great Defense."

Armo was in a bit of a silence. After listening, he consults Thompson. "This is our fault, so we must stay. If Armo had Fire type or bird, we would be better off, but we must fight regardless."

Arthur looking to the Pikachu, he nodded slowly. "Can you take us to the Protector. We'd like to talk to him if that's not too much of an issue."

The Pikachu makes you both promise not to reveal the secrets location of the warren, but then agrees to take you their. After about a fifteen minute walk you arrive at a grassy field. The Pikachu asks you to wait, and then enters a small hole. A moment later the Raichu steps out of the same hole and waves to you.

Thompson glanced around and looked to the Riachu. "Hello, friend. I know you want to stay and protect everyone. But we need to get you out of here. Those bugs...that assault from last night...it was because of the increrased power you have."

The Raichu gives you a confused look. "Why would my power have anything to do with the bugs?"

"Well, things were manageable until yesterday, when we gave you the stone. We were right outside of the forest, trying to help but it was a bigger assault than normal. We are worried about you." Arthur looks from the Chu to Armo and then back.

Armo kneels down to the Chu, eye-level has he can get.
"You are great protector. The greatest protection you can offer is to lead bugs away from this place. We set traps, give bugs surprise, maybe they stop attacking. But that hinges on leaving this place for better arena, yes?"

The Raichu shakes its head. "Bugs never stop attacking. They are stronger now. We need to be stronger. Bugs attack the weak. If I am gone then friends and family will die. Home is too important to leave. I go with you during the day because I promised to do that. I must always be back to defend family at night."

Thompson scratched the back of his head a little bit before taking in a deep breath. "The rangers...other people are looking for the reason as to why the attacks got stronger. We think your increased power alerted them. But if you are going to stay, then we will help you defend all of them. But we do think that we need to get you out of here for the protection of all of your friends."

The Raichu looks at you both. "I thank you for your offer, but the bugs cannot be beaten for good. I can't abandon family, so I will fight bugs always. You have your own goals and my eggs to protect. Help tonight while be deal with strong attacks, but you cannot fight with us forever. We must fight forever."

Thompson glanced to Armo then towards the Raichu. "We will stay and help tonight. Tomorrow we can recover and talk. Then we'll leave. Sound good, partner?" Thompson glances to Armo once more.

The Raichu returns to below ground to rest some more and the Pikachu bring you guys some food. Is their anything you guys want to do during the day to prepare for the attack tonight?
