I look around, dazzled. This could be one of the hugest and most busy cities I have ever seen. My astonishment is broken by the young Lurrak when he comes back carrying some kind of medicine in his mouth. Good work, Lurrak. I say while petting his head and picking up the medicine, not knowing what it may be for, looking at it curiously and smelling its content. (Any way of knowing?)
Well, here we are Lurrak, now it's time to start making a living. I look at my meager earnings, wondering how long they might last. At least the pokecenter is free, so might as well go there today, get ourselves a room, and see if their is any kind of work to do around here. I wasn't expecting to find something long lasting, since I was more anxious to travel along the country, than staying in the huge city.
Arriving at the pokecenter, I asked the nurse in reception to register myself for a room, and also asked her about some fast cash work to do in the city... then I continued asking her. Ummmmm, well I would like to do some traveling once I make enough to do so, but would you mind asking if there are any trainers like myself, looking forward to travel? Might as well have some company to not go insane. I say with a charming grin accompanying my words.
(So, I'm okay to travel with someone)

"very well. i'll give you call. in the meantime, pleasure doing business with you." Isaac extends his hand, and shakes hers. he then heads off to the pokemon center. when he arrives he promptly asks the nurse for a room. just like the other nurse had said, they had a few rooms open here and he was given one. he headed upstairs to his room and when he arrived, he let out Kipperin and Daemon. "hey guys, sorry for not letting you out for a bit but they wouldn't let us have our pokemon out on the boat due to the cramped quarters." the torchic gave a little huff but eventually nuzzles his leg, and the ralts just looked at him and smiled. he got ready for bed, got his pokemon settled and went to sleep. tomorrow, he would begin his new life. it was going to be a long day.
when he woke up the next day, he gathered his things and headed out east outside of town. he began with some morning training for each of his pokemon, spending about an hour doing it. afterwards, he decided he would see if he could find any other trainers who would be interested in battling.

Quint steps off the boat, a little late, but off all the same.
He adjusts his glasses and takes a look around the docks while he is processed. The man tries to hand Quint his visadex, but it doesn't even hit his hand before a purple paw snatches at it. Quint's Aipom assistant, Asys, grabbed the dex, and was already fiddling with it to figure out it's functions to help his boss. Asys adjusted his own glasses, which considering it was fake, was only for show.
While Asys figured out the device, Quint surveyed his surroundings. "We have to get our bearings in this new land. Then we can back to training our masterpiece, Gaisen."
(I'd be fine with teaming up)

((I'd much prefer teaming up over rolling solo, yes. ^_^ Don't know if it makes any difference in how you'd group us up, but Marcus' eventual goal will be to find some way to help/protect people in trouble.))
Marcus debated taking a short nap right then and there as soon as he got a bunk, but knew it would only serve to make him drowsier for the rest of the afternoon in the end. He was accustomed to operating for long periods of time without sleep; a few more hours would hardly slow him down. Alpha offered no protests, but even though it had been speaking to him for less than a month, Marcus was slowly learning to interpret what it didn't say as much as what it did. Stowing what few belongings he had aside from his new Visadex and a few supplies, he returned to the Center's information desk.
<Furreting out the city's vermin will be a simple objective for me,> the blade offered smugly, <...assuming they are willing to listen.>
<And if they aren't?> Marcus already knew the answer to that, and Alpha didn't bother to give one.
<Such a task certainly seems more apropos to our particular skill set than a... post at a store counter.> With a heavy sigh, Marcus flagged down an attendant.
"I'd heard there was work for Pokemon wranglers? Some sort of trouble with ferals in the city? I'm signing up."

Kage smiles and says, "No my friend, you get half. Hane and I are a team so we'll split our share." He pats Hane's head, scratching behind her ear. "Although, I'd like for you to join us. It seems we make a pretty good team. We could combine this score to put towards the next. I have job that I'm lining up and you could play an integral role. Whaddaya say?" Kage is hopeful, but if nothing else he's glad to have an acquaintance in this big city. Either way, he's sure that he and the Meowth will be seeing each other again.
#I'd be interested in teaming up, but my actions may be a bit unsavory to the others. This is kind of Meta-gaming, but the new Rocket from the Saffron board might be a well suited partner for Kage.

(I'm interested in teaming up, although I'd like Vera to get settled first. Although, Kage, I don't know your exact location, but I'm up to him trying to rob her. Seeing how she's heading for the fancy hotel district and all that.) Vera smiles at both her Pokemon. "Great teamwork, both of you!" she declares, nuzzling Sam's fur with her nose. Jess circles happily around a few times before settling down to perch on her shoulder. Vera withdraws Sam once more, noticing that he's quite injured. "Now let's get to that hotel!" On the way there, she will look to see if there are any Pokemon Centers around. (What's Spearow's starting loyalty?) 10043096051d6

#Kage, I was going to offer the whole Ranger/Bounty Hunter meets criminal and becoming rivalmies (rival/enemies) in vein of Lupin III and Zenigata. But this mugging piques my interest.

Everyone: Looks like pretty much everyone is up for teaming up, so I'll make sure you guys get a chance to bump into each other in the next few days. I'll see what I can do about a player robbing another player and then having a third player come in to try to help the first. Timeline wise it might be a bit tricky because Kage is about a day ahead of everyone else but it might work out.
Vera: You end up having to go a bit out of your way to get to a pokemon center, but ypu find one easily enough and quickly heal up your pokemon. From there you head to the hotel you had heard about. Its just about full dark when you finally make it there and after pay for your room you find it is just as lovely as it had sounded like it was going to be. You have four separate rooms in the suite and the bathroom has a hot tub in it. All in all the place seems like the perfect location to relax and leave behind some of the stress that had built up during the war and then the less than comfortable boat ride. Loyalty 2 for the first few days, then 3, assuming you spend at least a little bit of time getting to know it.
Kage: The Meowth nods and then writes. "You think quick on your feet. I'd be willing to team up again. Where and when are you meeting for this heist?" Whatever your reaction to this, once you are done speaking, the Meowth waits with his pile of loot and doesn't start moving it until you are almost out of sight. Trust is definitely something the cat does not give out likely. #Yeah, Lee wanted to team up with you as well. He is currently on the way to Celedon and I'll try to get you guys a meet up some time in the next week or so.
Frank: From what you know about pokemon, you would guess that the sounds you were hearing from the alley would come from a combination of Meowth, Persian, Raticate and Rattata. Your grim expression seems good enough to keep anyone from approaching you, but unfortunately you are so focused on perfecting it that you once again fail to notice where you are going. Even though you had been determined to avoid the alleyways, you suddenly realize that that is where your feet have led you. Its close to full dark now, twilight barely hanging on, and the already creepy looking alley, currently looks like something out of a Banette's nightmare. The sounds of the growls from before echo down the corridor from both directions and you can't for the life of you remember which direction you had come from.
Alex: The nurse says that she has met a lot of rangers in her day, but did not know much about them other than the basic idea. She tells you that Saffron is where you will want to head for info about that, as the Kanto Regional headquarters was located inside the city of Saffron.
Isaac: You ask around a bit about battling and hear the following. There are plenty of people at the local pokemon gym that are fond of battling. The gym also has a bunch of league official battling zones to fight on. On the other hand, you also hear tell of some fantastic battles that go on in the poorer part of town. Apparently street pokemon battles are fairly common down there and you can make some money if you are good.
Quint: I've given the basic description of Celedon about five times now, so if you wouldn't mind just going ahead and reading through some of my last few posts, that should give you a description of what Quint is seeing.
Markus: The nurse you are talking to says. "OK, the police are coordinating the effort and they are the poeple you'll get your payment from." She give you directions from the center to the police station. "Might want to wait till morning to sign up though. The police are still active right now, but only for emergencies." Checking a clock, you see it is a lot later than you had thought, almost ten at night.
Owain: On the job board, you see a few different kinds of jobs. There are a fair number of mundane things, like helping someone with house work and organizing someones comic book collection, but there are three that pop out. The police are currently looking for help with an outbreak of wild packs of pokemon wandering the slums. The game corner is looking to hire anyone who can do some flashy stuff in their battles, wanting to have some exhibition battles for the entertainment of their guests. Finally, there is a man and his daughter who want escorting through the sewer system. When you ask about people to travel with, the nurse says it has been awefully quiet on that front, but suggested that there was a man who had been in here earlier who had been looking to help with the wild pokemon outbreaks, and a girl who had been interested in becoming a ranger and was headed to Saffron to learn about it.

Alex gives the nurse a smile. "Oh, before I forget... I saw signs that there might be pack Pokemon in the south area. Have you heard what kind of Pokemon they are?"
Most pack-oriented Pokemon that came to Alex's mind were canine. Always useful to have a Pokemon with a good nose after all. And having wild dog Pokemon running around the city was also probably a bad thing. She also doesn't want to head off to Saffron just yet, Alex just started and it's best to build up a team before rushing off to join the Rangers.
#Oooh! I volunteer to be the saver!

Thank you, nurse. I say politely looking at the different job offers closely. I wonder what to do, since I still am not ready to leave the city. I don't know how everything works around here yet, and would need some starting money and goods to move along. I could depend on my knowledge of the forest to get by, but still I needed food and a tent in case of rain.... I looked at my remaining savings. Just one last thing, please, could you tell me if any of these trainers are around here? I would leave it all to chance, which ws always better to play in favor of.

Kage gives the meeting details to the feline and bids it farewell. Kage decides to find a hotel to hole up in. Nothing too fancy, but he's not the type to slum it. He also needs a place to store his loot, so hourly he can hollow out a tree out something for the time being.

#do you know when it is for Kage? It's still the first day of the boat, is it not? I've lost track of the time with him. If it's night time of the first day he'll train Daku(Seedot) (6xp) and go to bed. If it's morning of the second day he'll still train, but afterwards head to the meeting place.

Vera sighs with relief when they make it to the hotel. "Good thing we didn't get attacked on the way here," she says. Jess chirps questioningly.
"It doesn't count if we attack first. Speaking of which..." She releases the Spearow, whose first instinct is to dive at Jess. Vera steps back, releasing Sam, who growls warningly. The Spearow lands, a bit cautious at first, but then begins to growl back. Vera watches, ready to step in if it escalates, but after a lot of growling, it seems the two have come to a truce of some sort. Vera looks at Jess and shrugs. "Males." She then turns to the Spearow. "If you're going to become part of our family, you'll need a name. How do you think about the name Hector?" He flies up to her, glides around her once, then lands on her other shoulder and nods.
"Great!"
After relaxing in the hot tub, Vera will put Hector through some preliminary Contest-training exercises, training him for one-and-a-half hours, before going to bed. Tomorrow, she'll look around for jobs, especially performance-related ones.

Frank looks around nervously, losing his intimidating demeanor since there was no one around to see it. Meowth and Ratata his pokemon might be able to deal with, but Persian and Raticate... He pullsout Minora's ball anyways and holds it ready to release. "Well, if you just stand here you're going to get attacked," he mutters to himself. "Might as well go forward. Don't get lost this time," headds, almost as an afterthought. He strides quickly down the alleyway.
