The two of you charge into the building following after the police officers. By the time the two of you get inside, the police seem to have taken out the guards on the ground floor of the building, but there are stairs going up, and one of the officers discovered a hidden set of stairs going down. Now that they have confirmed that the place is up to something, the police are calling for more officers and have begun to move cautiously to sweep the higher rooms, waiting for backup before they head downstairs.

The newly-evolved Hector seems a bit put-out that all his opponents have been defeated already. Vera smiles nervously.
"Um...do you need any more help here?" she asks cautiously.

In the end the decision is made for you, as the downstairs comes up. Five or six folks dressed in black jumpsuits with red Rs on them charge up out of the dowstairs and start tossing pokemon and punching out cops. The speed and ferocity of the attacks manages to down several of the officers in the initial charge, and there is currently only you two and one remaining officer on the ground floor. The rockets have several rattata, as well as a koffing and two ekans. The lone officer has a growlithe.

"Jess!" calls Vera. "Use Swift!" The newly-evolved Golbat, after fluttering about a bit to apparently get her bearings, spreads her wings wide and flaps them hard, once, sending a whirling array of star-shaped blasts flying at the largest group of Rockets.

The swift attack hits the rockets, and while they seem to have taken the hit fairly well, they duck down the stairs to get out of range of ranged attacks, while letting there pokemon take the hits for a while. Meanwhile, the swift attack hurts the ekans pretty bad, and the police officer has his growlithe finish off the injured ekans.

Hector, upon seeing the Rockets attempt to flee, immediately swoops after them, his beak glinting with an oddly dark energy, aiming for whichever one is closest to him. (Hector uses Pursuit as an Interrupt.) Hector downs one of the rockets as he tries to retreat, and Altana manages to take down the snake it was targeting. All of this gives the police upstairs enough time to make it down and the battle begins in earnest. More police come in from outside and you guys along with the police begin to make your way down the stairs into the lower section, pushing rockets further and further back. Eventually the stairs open up into a large open area that was fairly obviously a cafateria of some sort. A large number of rockets have overturned tables in order to construct crude baricades and there are at least fourty rockets visible behind the barricades. They outnumber the police at the moment, but they seem to be fighting defensively and more and more police continue to show up. Currently however, because of the numbers and the barricades, the battle is something of a stalemate.

Vera thinks for a moment, then pulls out another Pokeball, releasing Sam. The Spheal does a flip as he emerges, rolling through the air. However, as he curls up, his edges seem to blur for a moment, and then a bright glow emerges from him. The chubby seal Pokemon lands as a much more bulky, bewhiskered Pokemon, waddling forward and barking a warning.
"Alright, Sam! Use Powder Snow! Hit as many of them as you can!" A blast of freezing cold shoots from Sam's jaws, sweeping through one part of the barricade.

The powder snow hits hard and you manage to damage a good number of rockets and there pokemon even through the barricade. At the same time, someone seems to have attacked the barricades from the other side, and police begin charging at the hole that was made in the defenses. Looking through the smoke and the battle, you think you recognize a couple of folks that took the boat ride to Celedon with you as the folks who charged the barricade from the other side.

Vera grins upon seeing help coming. "Great!" she exclaims. She pulls out her last two Pokeballs, releasing Tara and Trent.
"Give them a roar!" she calls to Trent. The Growlithe darts towards the barricades, before crouching low, then lifting his head and releasing a loud roar of rage.

Your attacks assist in helping drive back several rockets and a moment later it seems that most of the rockets have retreated further away. An officer approaches you both. "We have word that there is some sort of conflict in different section of the rocket base. The police force will be focusing on the barracks areas and the places where the most rockets are located, but we would appreciate it if you would team up with a small group that had been infiltrating the place separately and go investigate the other source of conflict in this location.
