Who ever is setting the ambush is apparently pretty well hidden, as you can't spot them. The Scyther wants to simply rush through the traps so that he can fight the ambushers. The Pincer wants to go back the way you came and go around the area instead of through it. The Paras wants to try to figure out how to make a counter ambush of some kind, maybe by sending out a few of your other pokemon subtly and then setting the ambush off before having the pokemon ambush the people that come out to ambush you.

Mike likes the diversity of the group, offensive, defensive, devious, but Mike likes Bolet's idea. Mike tells the three bugs to hide in the brush and keep an eye out for the ambushers. Mike, Keraia, and Casque will walk into the clearing and 'accidently' set off a trap, but hopefully avoiding the trap part. Keraia will stay on Mike's shoulder and Casque will be at his feet.

I'm not sure if I get to roll these since they aren't 'My Pokemon', but here they are anyway.

The three bugs act as if they are taking a different route through the forest, then double back and get in hiding places while you and your other two walk into the trap. 10 odd dosages of sleeping powder later you wake up to find yourself on the ground. Looking around you see that the plan seemed to have worked. Lying strewn around the clearing are around ten or fifteen bellsprout and oddish, all seemingly knocked unconscious by one or another of the bugs. Paras points over to the Pincer and says. "We kept one awake so you could interrogate it once you woke up. So far all I have gotten out of it is that these grass pokemon needed to collect meat for some reason."

"Meat?" Checking his Pokedex he sees that these Pokemon are phototrophs. "I'm not one for interrogation, but you guys don't eat meat. Why are you collecting meat, who for, and where are you taking it? If you don't tell me, my associates here," He points to Scyther and Pinsir, "May have to prune a few things."
#Hopefully using the other bugs lets me use THEIR intimidate skill instead of mine, but I'll let you handle that. Lol. Otherwise:

The oddish in question is seemingly so scared of the pincer and scyther that it has a hard time explaining itself, its words getting all tangled up and such. Still after a few minutes you start to get the shape of it. Apparently there is some sort of plant or tree that they are trying to grow. They seem to really respect this plant and have a lot invested in making it grow. As it turns out, one of the best feralizers is corpses, and something about this plant makes that even more necessary. So they are trying to catch things so they can kill them and bury them in the ground under this plant or tree.

Mike asks the little bush where the tree is and if he and his friends can see it to better understand the situation.

#Its fine, it happens. It can get really bad for me if I am tired when I still have to post. The first few people are all right, but when I get to the tenth person I am responding to they can get pretty short.
The oddish seems terrified of going to the tree/plant thing. When the scyther tries to stress the point, the poor creature just seems to give up. Its face goes slack and it just stands there motionless.

Mike sighs and glares at the Scyther, "Well so much for that..." Mike looks around for any bearing of where the ambushers may have come from. If none is to be found, they'll continue East to the water and to Lavender.

You and the bugs look around for a bit and you are about to leave, when the paras taps you on the ankle. It explains that it found some weird spores on some of the grass pokemon and that it could only find more of the spores going in one direction away from the ambush location. It also mentions that the spores were really weird and might be dangerous.

"Dangerous, eh? Well so far danger has meant interesting and interesting means fun! Let's do it!" Mike follows the trail that Paras has found.

Together with the paras, you are able to follow the trail of red powder. You end up travelling several miles off the path into sections of the woods untouched by man for quite some time. The concentration of the powder is a simple trail for a while, but then as you approach what you can only assume is the destination, you start to see the powder everywhere. Strangely, in some cases, plants that have a given concentration of the stuff or higher seem to have turned red themselves and few plants seem to be growing near those ones. You stop at the edge of a clearing and observe the following scene: A lone sapling pure red in color sits in the center of the clearing. In a rough circle around it, there are pits dug. Most are empty, but you think you can spot a corpse of an Ekans and a Spearow sitting in some of the others. The ground is littered with the spores, all of which seem to be drifting up out of the ground in the locations where the corpses are visible. Walking around seemingly pacing and perhaps guarding the place are oddish and belsprout. Instead of being their typical colors however, these plant creatures are bright red and the way they move suggests a savagery and anger that is not often found in creatures like them.

In a hushed tone, Mike says, "Any idea what is going on here, guys? Bolet, you're a Grass Pokémon, ever seen anything like this?" After conversing with his cohorts, Mike decides to approach the sapling in a very non-threatening manner, saying, "Hello. I've brought back a friend of yours that I found. He needs help as soon as possible."

The red colored plants turn towards you as soon as you speak, and you notice something strange when they do. The oddish and the belsprout both now have sharp teeth like carnivores, and they are quite obviously charging towards you. The sapling acts as most trees would, and remains quiet.

Mike tries to calm them, "I mean you no harm!" But if that doesn't work, not wanting to hurt or anger the plants any further, Mike jumps back and uses String Shot on whichever plants are closest in tandem with Keraia. "Scyther, Pinsir, don't hurt them! Their not in their right mind and who knows how many more there are."

The red colored pokemon don't even seem to hear you as they continue to charge. The two large bugs stand on either side of you, but obey your command. The string shots slow some of the creatures down, but they keep on moving and several of them manage to get into range to attack. Several attacks hit the scyther and the pincer and a few are aimed at you and Keraia. Vine Whip vs You: 2484000671d20 2d6+25 Grass Physical Acid vs Keraia: 1d20 2d6+25 Poison Special
