You wander in the direction the Parasect pointed for a few minutes, realizing that it is getting inconveniently close to the half hour time limit that you have in the park. Stepping into something of a clearing you see two large bug pokemon, a pincer and a scyther, apparently competing to cut up trees into as many pieces as possible. A small paras jumps back and forth on top of the two creatures' heads alternating between shouting encouragement and mocking the two for various screw ups. It is a strange sight to see the two huge bugs being so obviously subservient to the much smaller Paras.

"Hello there!" Mike says in a very friendly manner to the Paras, "I'm Mike and I just spoke to you father, the Parasect, back there. He said you might be interested in joining me on my adventures. Now I know it's not log cutting, but I think we could find a lot of fun stuff to do! Maybe visit the famed Viridian Forest and things like that! whaddaya say?" Mike explains his bug like situation as well to try and gain their trust.

All three of the bug pokemon are startled, and the pincer and the scyther almost jump to attack, before the paras yells for them to stop. She listens as you explain the wonders of the outside world. She thinks about it for a few seconds and then agrees to come with you. She tells her two companions that they are coming as well, but are not to be captured. Basically she tells them that if they really want to hang out with her they need to break out of the safari zone and come looking for her. Then she allows herself to be captured in one of your Safari balls.

"Interesting," Mike says out loud as the Paras is captured, "Look you two, I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but now that Paras is in this ball, I can tell HER what to do. So if you guys want to come with Paras, you can come with me, and she can't tell you no. You can try to bust ot if you want to, but this sounds easier, right?" Mike holds out two Safari balls, waiting for their response. "Also, if you want, we can stage a break out. She doesn't have to know."

The two pokemon look sort of angry, saying something to the effect of, "If you try and make our friend do anything we are going to come after you." With that the two bugs head towards the edge of the safari zone preparing to get themselves out there own way. You hear a buzzer sound and your Safari Balls beep, telling you that you are out of time and need to return to the entrance. Paras is level 20, and knows Leech seed as an egg move. She has a Sassy nature and has the Tochukaso and Dire Spore abilities. (Since Dire Spore is a connection Spore ability, the Paras also knows Spore as one of its moves.)
With that the November Hiatus will begin. I will be posting again December 1st.

Mike hears the alarm and heads back to the entrance, of course keeping an eye out for any Pokemon of interest. He's gonna try and get his money's worth, for sure.

You make your way out of the Safari Zone, and a few minutes later are joined by the two bugs from before. The two are bickering about which of them escaped more smoothly, but they both seem like they got out with little issue.

With a big smile on his face, Mike says, "Hey! You made it out, wonderful!" Mike releases the Paras and continues, "Hello again, little one. I'm going to call you Bolet, I hope that's alright. Look! Your subordinates made it out, like you told them." Mike points to the Pinsir and Scyther that are bickering. "You might want to try and settle this. Hehehe."

The Paras sorts the two of them out fairly quickly. Once that is done she turns back to you. "Lets get down to this fun and adventure stuff you were talking about. Where to first?"

"Hmm... fun and adventure... well we can head up to Lavender Town. The place is crawling with Ghosts. How's that sound?" Mike let's Keraia out of her ball again and perches her on his shoulder. "Let's go then!"
#I assume the Paras will want to be out of it's ball if for no other reason to control the two large bugs next to me. Unless of course they'll be coerced into Pokeballs.

A few people give you weird looks as you travel out of town followed by a scyther and a pincer, but its a short trip and soon you are back out in the wilderness. You head back the way you had come, heading towards the big bridge towards Lavender Town. Roll me a perception and a survival check please.

Heading into the wilderness sure was made awkward with all the stares, but since the Scyther and Pinsir didn't mind, neither did Mike.

As you are headed toward the bridge you pass through a clearing. When you do, you spot several things that make you hesitate before moving on. There is an extremely large number of poisonous plants concentrated in the surrounding foliage, and you can spot a few subtle signs of some snare traps and a few other triggers for what must certainly be other traps. It seems likely that there is some sort of ambush set up only a few feet in front of you.
