The two of you and all of your pokemon crest a hill and can see the pale blue houses of Cerulean City. To the north lies a hedge maze of rather large size, to the west, a large mountain that can only be Mt. Moon. In the city itself you can see many a pool and pond, along with a large pool next to the gym of the town. It is only a few more minutes till you make it into town. (You guys both get 5 trainer xp for recent adventures.)

(Sorry, I was sure I had posted at one point in there . . . Possibly eaten by a bad connection.)
Cecil had to admit he was happy to see the town sprawled out in front of him. Of course, he loved being out in the wild, away from the crowds, but this place didn't appear to be nearly as busy as Vermilion. It actually looked kind of nice. There looked to be plenty of places to let his Pokemon out to swim, too, so that was good.
As they walked, Cecil turned to Shannon. "All right! Here we are! Let's stock up on supplies and rest a bit before going any further. I'd still like to find a place to let my Pokemon swim around a bit, too. I feel bad that they haven't really had a chance to since we got to this country."
Cecil looked up at the mountain looming beyond the city. "And I guess that over there would be our real destination. I have to admit, I'm feeling somewhat excited about this. It's been a long time since I've done anything like hike up a mountain."

Shannon, happy to have made it to town, exhales and sighs deeply.
Yep, we made it. And we should give them all a while to play. Maybe let them all have free roam as long as they stay within in town and stay together? Then turning to the group of pokemon, but you have to come find us by dinner at the latest at the pokemon center. We will be around town running errands. then turning back to Cecil, Of course, as long as that's cool with you? Then we can get stuff and see about climbing to the top of that mountain.
She would love to climb to the top of the mountain, there had to be some awesome views up their; and who knows, maybe she and Cecil would be some of the first to make the summit? That would make her parents proud and happy.
Thinking further about the mountain, Shannon wonders what kind of pokemon and adventures she and her friends might run into up there. Maybe there will be pokemon to save, or bandits to capture, or, well it could be anything. Shannon smiles in anticipation.

All of the Pokemon head out to wander around town. They stick to less populated areas do to the possibility that the rarity of Cecil's pokemon might invite abduction but in general head straight for the water. While the pokemon are off having fun, what are you guys doing exactly? Looking for mountain climbing gear, buying supplies?

(I dont really know what supplies he wants. Shannon would probably think she could climb the mountain without climbing gear depending on how big it actually looks. She would ask whatever store keeper cecil goes to if climbing the mountain is a big deal around town, if there were rumors of trouble in the area so she could 'be prepard' to fight it, and how hard the gym was and what type it is thinking she might have a chance cause she thinks her pokemon are tough.)

From asking around town you here that you might want some rope and pistons and such because while a lot of the mountain is not that bad, sometimes it gets really steep and you basically have to rock climb your way up. Its definitely a lot of work to make it to the top, but apparently the view is amazing. There was word of some dangerous types in the tunnels under the mountain a few days ago, but nothing about anything dangerous up on the top. It sounds like not much lives up their, a few flying types and the occasional clefairy are about it. They tell her that the leader is Misty a water trainer, and while winning is next to impossible unless you are incredibly strong, Misty has trained her pokemon to avoid injuring weaker pokemon so battling with her is safe. Almost everyone you ask recommends going to the gym and giving it a shot though because you'll learn a lot.

(No hurt feeling meant, but I think instead of waiting and taking it slow till wrongway is back in business, i'm just gonna go with it and he can jump in when he is able)
All the mention of dangerous types in the tunnels and her recent conversations with wild pokemon, Shannon becomes concerned that these crooks might be full scale capturing wild pokemon from their families and that they need to be stopped. She discusses her concern and plan with all of her companions. She buys four potions from the pokemart and asks where exactly these tunnels can be found. In the morning after a nice sleep at the pokemon center, and a good breakfast, she sets off for the mountain to track these shady characters down(with/without Cecil/mankey with plans to meet them back at the pokemon center two nights from today if they don't come).

(Apologies again! I've been extremely busy the last couple days - actually posting from work now - but hopefully I'll have a bit more free time in the next few days.)
Of course Cecil would stick with Shannon. He had already learned that she had pretty good instincts, so if she thought there was trouble, she was probably right. Following her example, he picked up a couple of potions at the mart and prepared to head out.
So much for a peaceful hike. Oh, well. That could wait until later. At least Rue and Valter had had a chance to relax and play a bit. He was also curious about this gym leader they had been hearing about; while he had no real personal interest in collecting badges, he had a feeling this was someone he'd be happy to meet. He had to admit that his Pokemon might like the chance to prove themselves as well; he had been surprised before at how well they had each taken to battling. Perhaps he was being too cautious with them.
First things first, though. Time to help those in need. "I think I'm ready," he told his companion. "Let's go." Cecil gathered up his Pokemon in their pokeballs and began the walk to the mountain tunnels alongside Shannon.

(hey yea its ok, wasn't trying to pressure you, I just figured you could jump in if I was going slow or doing something. obviously work is important)
During the hike Shannon asks Cecil about the zoo he worked at and tells him about a 'zoo' near where she lived. It didn't cage animals the way most zoo's did; instead, the zoo keeper owned a small portion of land the he designed so many types of wild pokemon would come and play while the zoo keeper led people on tours. Shannon had been on a tour and loved it when she was a child, but it had gotten destroyed in the war.

"The zoo I worked at was nothing like that," Cecil responded. "Really, it was more of a lab than anything else. The Pokemon were kept in small cages half the time. A couple times a week, they were moved to habitats where the public could come through and watch them. That's how the place got all its revenue. I was brought in a while back to help train these two, so I got to take them from their cages and let them taste freedom in small amounts while I was working with them. When the war broke out, talk began of shutting the place down. After a while, I grew worried about what might happen to the Pokemon, so I just took them and left."
Cecil smiled. "That zoo you talked about sounds great, though. I wouldn't mind owning some land and using it for the protection of Pokemon. I'm sure I would be happy to show them to anyone who was honestly eager to learn, as well. But that sounds like a dream. I think a very quiet life with my Pokemon in a place they can be free is about all I can ask for."

Well, this country seems friendlier than where you worked, maybe they have something around here like that? Or maybe there is someone doing traveling research in a helpful way towards pokemon that could use your help?
Shannon stops speaking for a moment and thinks about how to say what she wants next with a tilt to her head and a squint in her eyes, I want to try battling the gym leader we heard so much about when we get back to town, maybe we should ask her about it when we are there? She seems to be a big deal and she probably knows about all sorts of things going on.
Shannon stops walking for a moment and stares at the ground before looking at Cecil and continuing, I think I have decided that traveling around the area helping wild pokemon and fighting those that would take advantage of them is what I would like to do. If we can find some way to do that together I would really like that, because, well, I like you and I think it would be great if we could stick together. You..., you remind me of a younger version of my granddad before he died. It was a long time ago, but I miss him.

Seems like you guys are having a good conversation, so I'll wait till you guys are ready before moving on to the tunnels.

"I suppose it is a bad habit of mine that I can't stay out of things that should be none of my business if I think there's a chance someone could get hurt. In all honesty, traveling around helping people wouldn't be too bad a life, either." Cecil thought for a moment. "If I've learned anything in my years, it's that nothing stays the same; you can always expect you plans to change. I think we should look at one thing at a time. We'll check out these tunnels, do what we can there, and then we can return to town and decide our next move. Seeing the gym leader can certainly be part of our plans at that point."

Happy to hear Cecil will continue to be her travel companion, Shannon smiles and says One thing at a time, I'll work on it, and laughs as they continue on towards the tunnels.

After a short walk up some fairly steep hills, you reach the entrance to the tunnels in Mt. Moon. You enter into the dark area, the only light created by Balain every few seconds. Searching around within the cave, you hear the sound of someone picking away at stone. You approach the sound and find a young woman, dressed in Khaki clothes, chipping away at some rocks in the side of the cave. She starts a bit when the two of you approach and says, "Who are you guys?"
