Thompson nods a bit before thinking of how to get across. He then dove into the water to get across using Destroyet just to guide him across before getting to the other side to begin to climb.

With Destroyer's help Thompson is able to get across the river and up to the other bank. He climbs up the side of the cliff and reaches the patch of glowing rock. After touching it and getting a gentle shock it is fairly obvious that this is indeed thunderstone. Now the question is, how to get it out of the other rock.

Armo has a quick bit of insight, and shouts. "Friend! Thunderstone is lodged in rock, yes? If you cannot remove Thunderstone..." He's hoping Thompson gets the hint...

Looking to the Thunderstone, Thompson knew exactly what to do. With a swift thrust of his hand, he had hoped to dislodge the stone from the rest of the rocks to pocket it.
(Uses Rock Smash...will make any rolls if you want them.)

Thompson shatters the stone around the thunderstone and grabs the pieces of charged rock as they fall off of the side of the cliff. It looks like their are three stones large enough to evolve pokemon that you have manage to pry free from the rock.

Thompson grabs the three stones and pockets them carefully before climbing down the cliff and swimming across with the help of his Slowpoke. "I got three pieces...so one for the Pikachu in the forest and one for the each of us to hold on to."

"Fantastic job, rock-smashing friend!" Armo is giddy at the sight of the Thunderstone collection! "Perhaps we find small Eevee, have duo of Jolteon, yes? For now, let us return to forest!"

The two of you walk back west, back towards town. When you get there it is about 3 in the afternoon. Based upon how long it took you to get through Mt. Moon the first time, you expect that if you head that way now it will probably be about 11 or 12 by the time you get through.

Armo strokes his chin, weighing the options. "What do you think, friend? Shall we go through caverns, rest at Center, and go to old Chu in the morning? Or otherwise?"

Thompson thinks for a bit and shrugs slightly. "I'm sort of excited to see how the Chu reacts to the thunderstone. But that's probably a good idea...get through Mt. Moon and find a place to rest until morning."

The two of you trek back toward Mt. Moon, hoping to get through it as quickly as possible. Once more, you are forced to rely on makeshift torches, but it seems like cubone is getting pretty good at making them. After a few minutes of walking, you see the familiar site of several swarms of zubat moving away from the edge of your light. After yet more walking you hear the sounds of clashing a bit in the distance. Their is some sort of battle happening nearby.

Armo is cautious. "Proceed in front, as you are better at fighting, yes?"

Hearing the battle in the distance, Thompson nods slowly. "No worries, friend. Just hold the torch just in case I need to use tank for this fight."
He then makes his way closer to the sound, listening and trying to figure out who exactly is fighting.

After a few corners and turns, your torchlight is hardly needed. Several powerful lanterns are lighting up a small sort of room within the tunnel network. It appears that the battle is just a friendly pokemon battle between two trainers, though incredibly powerful ones. A kid with purple hair is standing on the other side of the room and commanding a extremely fast red pokemon with pincers for hands and a hard metallic exoskeleton. The man closer to you is dressed in a trenchcoat, and is commanding a large metal four legged pokemon. The speed and ferocity of their attacks is staggering.

Seeing the two people fighting, Thompson's jaw dropped a bit. He was in awe of what was happening in front of him, but simply sunk back to reality, turning back to Armo. "Let's just get back to the Chu. We wouldn't stand a chance. Not yet."
