Deciding to avoid the city of Cerulean and Mt. Moon entirely you head into the dangerous brush outside of the routes, where tall ledges and dense tree growth abound, and pokemon that kill and eat humans are much more abundant. With the aid of your onix you are able to get past the ledges and the trees, but eventually you run into the third hazard. As you are climbing a ledge, you look up to see the angry face of a Primeape looking down on you, and a moment later about five more faces, of the smaller Mankey. You know these pokemon to be aggressive and deadly.

#Sorry for brief post, not at my desktop and this computer is making typing very difficult.
Jin frowned looking up as he weighed his options, eventually looking down to his Onix and ordering her to begin digging into and under the cliffside. Jin focused himself and followed, getting ready for pursuit or a fight when they emerged.
Onix has burrow 7, having her dig forward and up at an angle, following through tunnels and using Agility. Speed is 21 with combat stages, speed evasion is 4 for when targeted.
#Looking over ninja it's an extended action normally to use Ninja's arsenal, would it be alright if Jin used it to create 2 smoke bombs on the way here?

Onix tunnels beneath you and you drop into the tunnel and start moving after it. You can hear the Primeape shouting something to his troops and you soon see two of the Mankey have dropped into the tunnel and are following you. #Yeah, go ahead and make the 2 smokebombs.

#Sorry for the delay, and thanks for the smoke bombs- the ability drains AP for the day though so I'll try saving them for when I really need 'em. Mankey and Primeape do get a few fighting moves which due to house rules can be rather dangerous for Jin...
Jin didn't like these odds- both himself and Onix were at a type disadvantage when dealing with these particular wild mon, and there were more waiting topside. Burrowing was taking longer than he'd hoped, he had to make a show of force, but no need to bet all his chips on it... "Keep digging, but get ready for an attack!" He called back as his Onix roared and continued onwards taking some of the nearby rocks onto its exterior. Jin closes the distance between himself and the wild apes in an instant, ending with a leap that leads into a spinning kick hitting the closest Mankey twice, hard. He then beats his chest as a wild ape might and bellowed down at the other attempting to assert himself as the dominant primate here.
Jin rushes forward (tunnel would have only been a maximum of 7m at this point, so his boosted speed of 8 would make it) and uses Double Kick on the closest Mankey. Onix moves 7m further on the tunnel, then uses Harden. Defense is now 20.

#Only one of the two hits landed so it doesn't matter, but when double kick hits twice, you double the damage base, but you don't add attack twice. So if one hits then it does damage base 3 and if both hit it does damage base 6, but you are adding your attack stat only once in both cases.
The double kick does a good bit of damage to the closest mankey. The injured one flees after seeing your display, but the other remains, bellowing back and going for a kick to your shins. #Oh- I am sorry, that must have happened when I moved to update the sheet... should be public now, and definitely over 110lb with the muscle Jin developed as a soldier. And OUCH! I am at a measly 1HP after that hit thanks to it being super effective...
#Sorry, first time I've gotten to run a battle besides a mock level 5 encounter in another game, thought I'd gotten my common moves down... so with Technician it'd be DB 5(doubled due to crit) +12 Attack, the 34 is correct but the missed kick wouldn't have worked that way. My bad, will remember for next time.
Jin gritted his teeth as he felt his leg buckle from the blow, it wasn't broken but he'd lost his footing and stumbled to the side hitting his head hard on the wall of this freshly made tunnel. His vision blurred as he tried regaining his focus and cursed under his breath. He staggered back as he tried thinking his way out of this situation, he could barely see the raging Onix rumbling his way and throwing a sharpened stone at the Mankey in retaliation. Jin spit up a little blood and turned throwing a Pokeball overhanded, and frowning since he thought it was one of his prepared smoke bombs at first.
Rock Throw, AC4 bOROWftk1d202d6+17Rock Physical Pokeball, AC6, spending an AP 1d20+11d100
Jin half-crawled 8m away from the Mankey before throwing the ball, and Onix charged 7m closer before using Rock Throw, which has a range of 8m

The makey dodges the rocks and almost dodges the ball, but the thing grazes the edge of its arm and pulls the creature inside. The ball shakes once, shakes twice, shakes a third time and then comes to a stop. You can hear the one that ran away being yelled at up above, and it sounds like a few more are being sent down to flush you out. #Mankey Level 14, Brave Nature, Male, Defiant

Jin coughed a little as he took the second he was offered to digest what all just happened. He rushed forward to get the ball and ordered Onix to seal off the entrance, it didn't need light to know where it was going down here and he found more comfort in the darkness at the moment. He didn't take time to check the strength of this forced cave-in, before continuing onward hoping they could surface some distance away from the others, while they did Jin took a small breather and downed a bottle of water. Fighting mon was much tougher than taking on other soldiers, these wild Kanto ones were particularly powerful compared to what he normally took on.
Jin consumes an Enriched Water for the time being, returning his HP to 29/55(after injury is taken into account).
#Adding it to my sheet, gonna nickname it Jet. From how attacks work I can derive it had a 15 Attack stat, were any of its other points set in stone or are those up to me now? Just realized I caught this one at full HP... quite a stroke of luck, hope that keeps up.

Your onix is able to seal off the entrance well enough, and you are now in darkness. Are you planning on surfacing nearby, or just tunneling for a while and coming up somewhere random?

Well, Onix is aware of things within 7m of where it's burrowing as long as they're on solid ground, so the plan is to at least get away from any groups of monkeys. Obviously 7m isn't enough to account for full visual range once we're up, but the best I can do is adapt as the situation changes. I'd say the tunnel would extend forward about 4-5 times as far as the cliff I had been climbing was tall, so if it was about 10m I wanna go ~45m forward by the time I surface.
If possible, I'd use my Pokedex kind of like a cell phone for light, just enough to not trip every step of the way.
Were the Mankey's stats layed out at all or is that up to me? I gathered it has 15 Attack from the damage it was dealing, but that only makes up 5 of its 24 available points. I'm guessing it has all 6 moves a standard Mankey would have by level 14?

#Oh, sorry, forgot to answer your question last time. Trainers are always allowed to distribute stats after catching pokemon.
You follow your onix underground for a little while and then make a break for the surface. You look around and you can see the Mankeys and Primape about 30 meters behind you. Onix is not exactly subtle howver so they see you as well and begin chasing. It looks like there are some trees up ahead you could try and lose them in, as well as other cliffs and hills.

#Alrighty- I'll get those distributed.
Jin liked the lead this got him- but it didn't remove the immediate threat. He quickly returned his Onix with a thanks and began sprinting off into the trees hoping to lose the apes with his headstart. He took a deep breath and focused his speed when he had a moment, not wanting to lose any of his momentum. The Mankeys had already shown themselves to be apt climbers, he'd be playing by their rules on any more cliffsides.
Will Agility every other turn, assuming the chase follows standard battle turn structure. With that I can have up to 10 overland speed, so 15 when sprinting.

You rush into the woods and try and lose the monkeys. As it turns out, this forest is there home, and there are many more in the trees. You end up running, hiding and escaping for several hours, trying to make it through the woods and past these mankey. In the end, it takes you hours and you are completely exhausted, but you are able to escape the woods and the Mankey at around Dusk. You can see the lights of Pewter about five or six miles away, with nothing but rolling hills between you and it. You can also see the light of many torches moving out of the town towards the south.

Jin finally came to a slow jog as Pewter was beginning to come into view, somehow he'd managed to escape his pursuers on their own turf. Still, he'd managed to make it out with only some moderate scrapes and bruises to show for it, wasn't sure how most others would have managed but that initial kick he took was almost enough to send him reeling, for now he'd simply be thankful for his arriving in one piece. The group leaving town did catch his eye, and it wasn't as if he was behind on any schedule... so he fed his curiosity and began a slow approach as he caught his breath.

You approach the group and are able to see that there is no uniform or anything amung these people, with normal street clothes on most of them. Eventually someone calls out to you, asking who you are and which way you came from. They seem a bit tense and your answer may or may not incite violence depending on what you say.
