Enzuna puts up his arm, blocking the sand with his shield. He sends a pulse of stronger, more focused energy, hoping to force the monkey to lose its balance.
<Enzuna evades the sand attack from Instinct + shield + base 5 speed, so I don't know if you want me to roll focus but I will anyway.

Zashi: #Alright, I'll get to work on the mini-game. I don't think it should take me more than a couple days, but if it starts to drag on, I'll just continue the story and send it to you later. Enuna: #Yeah, if the attack misses then you don't need to roll focus. From now on just assume you need to roll focus if an attack hits and not if it misses. Dodging its attack, you launch another strike at the monkey which hits and knocks the creature back a bit. Still, the thing is nimble and it manages to land with its feet and tail on different poles. It speeds toward you and actually goes for a damaging attack this time. Fury Swipes: 15325269901d20 1d8 Damage: 1d8+7+16 Normal Physical

Deciding to try something new, Enzuna ducks below the blow and sends a pointblank attack at the monkey, interrupting and dodging the attack at the same time.

The monkey doesn't seem to have been much damaged by the vacuum wave, but it seems to have grown weary of your constant dodging. It hops back, to a range of eight meters and fires off a swift attack, raining white stars that hone in on your location. 16728207651d20 3d6+15 Normal Special

Zashi: #Status report: Done with almost all the programming. I just have to implement bonemerang and I will be done with that part. After that is done, all that is left is to actually make the puzzle and I will be done. Possible problem is that I will be going on a trip tomorrow and I am not sure if my laptop can do the programming. If it can't then the program will have to be delayed for about a week and I will continue on with the story. Also, what kind of computer do you use, Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, Chromebook?

I have already put 4 or 5 hours of work into the game, so its definitely going to get done. If I can't get it done this week, we'll just skip by the puzzle bit and I'll send you the game later, once I get back to my computer.
Figured I'd give you an idea of how the game is going to work so that you don't get your hopes up for something that it is not going to be. Its going to basically be a grid based puzzle game. You will be able to control 5 characters, you and your four pokemon. Each character has a special power. Zashi can summon any of the pokemon to his location by returning them and sending them back out. Mina can shoot a bone several squares in order to flip switches at a distance. Oroku can jump over 1 square of lava, Gastly can pass through walls, and Ditto can turn into any of the others and get their power, though he doesn't get Zashi's power. The puzzles will involve flipping switches which will create or destroy bridges.

Wait, what!? You're telling me that this isn't going to be an XYZ axis game with full HD graphics and guns guns guns!?
Lol JK it's cool. I don't have my hopes up, I just think it's cool that you're making a game. The mechanics seem sound and I like puzzles so, WOOT!

Zashi: OK, so I got all the programming for the game done, but setting up the puzzle itself remains incomplete and I can't do it without my computer at home, so I'll get the game to you in about a week. Meanwhile, we will assume that you made it past all the puzzle stuff and continue on. After having solved a complicated set of puzzles you exit the large magma filled room. You now find yourself facing an extremely large staircase. Up and up it goes and you begin to climb it. It begins to spiral around instead of just going straight up and your legs begin to tire. After a solid two hours of climbing stairs you can see and exit. You step out, and you find yourself on the top of a mountain. After your eyes adjust to the bright light of the daytime above ground, you can see a group of large dragon type pokemon standing in a rough semi-circle before you. There is a Salamence, a Hydreigon, a Goodra, a Garchomp and a Dragonite. They all speak at once and the combination of the sounds they make form into intelligible words. "This is the voice of the council. You have passed the test. Tell us why you came to the Isle of Dragons."

((Sounds good man. I look forward to it. And what, no type shifted Metagross or type shifted Tyranitar to complete the pseudos? lol))
Zashi bows low, breathing heavily from the stair climb. His eyes fixed to the ground he speaks, "Great council, my partner, Enzuna, and I seek the Dragon Fire Amulet. We came here with an old man who told us about it. We need it to combat a militia group that is attacking the region of Kanto. Neither Enzuna, nor myself, are from this region, but we both value honor and balance above all else. What is happening to the region is terrible and we seek your aid along with a dragon companion." Zashi keeps his bow low until told to rise.

<Sorry I've been AWOL! I started a new job and have been suuuper busy. >
Enzuna watches the balls of light home in on him, knowing he won't be able to dodge it. Instead, he throws his arms up and tosses out an aura barrier, deflecting the blows.

Enzuna: #No problem, I know the feeling. Just wanted to make sure you hadn't missed last post for you. I've had threads where multiple people post and someone misses their update and doesn't post for a long time. The monkey watches you block the attack, but then it just waits. It seems to want to force you to move if you want to attack it.
Zashi: The voice of the council speaks again. "Rise warrior. The "Steel Defender" has spoken to us of you both, and you have passed the test we have set before you. Your companion is still fighting the final stage of his test, but should he complete it, we will be willing to lend you the power of our amulet. Your quest alone is sufficient cause for that. As far as gaining a dragon companion, your answers to our questions and your passing of the trial have proven you worthy. Our final question then is this. What do you seek in a companion? What sort of an ally would help you the most?"

Enzuna focuses and sends a beam the full distance, not moving from his perch for fear of falling just by trying to jump.
