Enzuna: For around 15 minutes you follow the old woman, her not speaking, and you unable to do much but concentrate on not letting go of the soup. Eventually she says, "Thank you sir. My shoulders have recovered and it looks like this is the point where our paths diverge." You can see that the path does indeed diverge up ahead with a sign that says, "Trial of the Dragons" pointing left, and one saying, "Mysterious Old Woman" pointing right.
Zashi: #I guess your character only assumed it was a stalagmite instead of a stalactite because it did not seem to have any damage on the tip and it would be a lot easier to knock down a stalagmite from the ground. You walk slowly across the thin stone cone. It does indeed roll a bit and you have to quickly adjust your steps. The first few times, it is only a little, but the last movement causes you to just up and jump the rest of the distance. The rolling combined with the force of the jump causes your bridge to fall down the pit, clattering off the sides as it falls. Your pokemon are happy to see you across and you move further down the tunnel. Soon you find yourself in a large open room with no obvious exit on the other side filled with stalactites, stalagmites and columns. From behind one of the columns comes a strangely shaped hooded and robed figure, carrying a candle. "I am the guardian of the caverns. You must defeat me if you seek to pass."

((lol, I was making a small joke that I have no idea which is which without looking it up. I trust you knew, though))
Zashi recalls his companions, other than Mina, and continues down the path. When confronted by the guardian, Zashi replies, "I will not attack you, guardian. I do not seek conflict, but, if you attack me, I will not hesitate to retaliate. Do you wish to battle with Pokémon? Or steel?" Zashi's hand grips his sword, ready for the guardian's attack, should there be one.

Enzuna carefully sets down the soup.
"If you are sure. I bid you good travels."
Well, that seemed fairly...planned. Not altogether surprising though.
Enzuna continues down the Trial of Dragons.

Zashi: "Attack or don't, pokemon or steel, these choices are up to you. I will tell you only this, if I am not defeated then you cannot pass further. And how will you defeat me if you cannot even see me?" The candle near the man flickers out and at the same time all of the torches behind you go out as well. You can hear the sound of the cloak falling away and the sound of the previously cloaked figure moving your way rapidly. #If I am remembering it correctly then stalactites stick "tite" to the roof and stalagmites stand up tall and "mite"-y from the ground, but it has been like 10 years since I learned that, so I may be very wrong.
Enzuna: You continue on down the path and eventually come to a strange looking place indeed. The path ends, but a forest of thin poles stick up from the ground where the path ends. It looks like it might be possible for one to step from pole to pole and make it along to where the path continues a few hundred meters later. From the center of the mass of poles comes an Aipom which is startling when it suddenly speaks. "I am the guardian of the high places. You must defeat me if you wish to pass."

Zashi draws his weapon and waits for his opponent to strike, before making his move. However, he orders Mina to do no such thing, "Mina, Bonemerang, show me our opponent!"

The guardian screeches a bit, when it is hit by Mina's bonemerang. It launches its attack at the Cubone, never stepping close enough to you that you could tell its location very well. Bite: 17257063171d20 3d6+30 Dark Physical

Mina avoids the cloaked chomp and alerts Zashi to the opponents location. Mina then spins around to catch the bone and slams it down at the assailant's head.

<Sorry, class started up so I've been swamped>
Enzuna is surprised, but not altogether too shocked. He had spoken to pokemon before just...not out loud.
"I accept your challenge. What are the rules?"
He seemed kind of wary to step on the poles. His balance was...fairly unimpressive.

Zashi: The guardian manages to dodge your attack, but falls prey to another bone based attack. It launches another Bite at Mina. 3949112231d20 3d6+30 Dark Physical
Enzuna: The monkey grins, "We fight on the poles. The first to fall off of them loses." It nimbly hops from pole to pole, moving with its tail and its hands.

Enzuna nods, and tentatively steps onto the pole, wobbling a bit as he attempts to keep his balance. Once he stops shaking, he nods. Hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult...as long as he didn't have to move from here.
"I...believe I am ready."

((Did Zashi miss because he missed or is the opponent etheral? Just asking becasue he still has those spell tags attached to his blade)) The guardian takes a decent chunk out of Mina, but she is far from done. She hops back a step and looses her club, launching it at the guardian once again. 17139517691d201d20 One Hit 2d6+28 Two Hits 4d10+33

Zashi: #He missed because of the -10 to ac that total darkness gives you if you don't have dark vision or something like that. The bone attack combined with your own is enough to make the guardian grunt and then stop. The lights turn back on. You can now see that the guardian was a Deino. "You have passed the test challenger. Most folks have to overcome the obstacle of darkness and all that, but I suppose having a pokemon that can see in the dark works as well." The Deino motions and a back part of the cave opens up, the path continuing.
Enzuna: The Aipom makes some monkey noises and then charges toward you, jumping from pole to pole. When it gets close, it swings up next to you and uses the move Tickle. 1320772541d20 #If the the attack hits then the normal effects occur, but you also need to make a focus roll to avoid the impulsive movements that tickling usually bring on.

((Okay, that's fine. I was just checking on the manner in which I missed. If it was sidestepped or if it went through him, for example.))
Zashi bows to the dragon, and says, "Thank you, cave guardian, for the humbling battle. Please take this as a token of my gratitude." Zashi hands the Pokémon a Potion/uses it on him to restore his strength. "I seek a dragon companion to travel with me. You have proven to me that you are more than a worthy adversary and would make an even better partner. Would you consider traveling with us?" He holds out a Pokéball should, (s)he accept. Either way, Zashi heads down the pathway, Mina in tow.

Enzuna could feel the urge to deflect the move or jump out of the way, but he resists it. Instead he sends a burst of energy at the Aipom, hoping to disorient it.

Zashi: "I am afraid my job is too important for me to leave. Others of my clan may be interested however once you complete the final stage of the testing. Go onward challenger." You walk onward and the path continues to lead down. As you walk, you can feel an intense heat rising from the place where you are heading. Eventually you step into an incredibly large room. There is lava, and bridges and switches and moving walkways. It looks like an intricate 3d moving maze. On the other side of the lava, you can see stairs that seem to lead upwards in a steep way. #So, I kinda want to make a mini video game for this part and then send it to you and have you play it before you proceed. Would you be up for waiting three or four days for me to do that, or do you want to do this in text instead?
Enzuna: You manage to avoid and missteps because of the effects of the tickle and strike back with a pulse of energy. The aimpom is knocked back a bit by the attack, but he catches himself with his tail and launches another attack at you. This time the thing jumps right in front of you and tosses a handful of sand right into your eyes. Sand Attack 373018181d20 Another Focus check please.
