The three of you check out a coupe of bars, asking about the scientist gal. It turns out that the one that is closest to here work was the right one, as Cameron spots the lady, sitting at the bar. Based on the way she is talking to the person next to her, it looks like she has gotten herself pretty hammered.

Great, now we have a very drunk scientist. I say mostly to myself although in a volume so that the two fellows next to me can hear clearly. I sigh and come close to the doctor, it's about time she goes back home. But first I talk to the bartender while grabbing her arm softly as to lift her up. Sorry, sir, has she paid her bill? If you don't mind, my friends and I will take her back to rest and sobber up. Although I didn't know where her home was, either she would or we could take her back to the laboratory and she could rest there in some office or lounge will getting herself back together.
Charm (to look inocent and helpful, not a danger).

"Whoa, whoa. No need to be rude, man, she was talking with someone." Alex says as she takes the other seat next to the scientist lady. She wants to play this whole situation as cool and casual as possible. Her grandpa always told her tongues could always be loosened with a little bit of booze, and by the looks of this... This woman's tongue was as loose as it could get. If they just took her out? Well, that could make things complicated. "Just relax and sit down. We could probably find some fun company around, y'know?"
With that she flashes the scientist a friendly smile. "Name's Alex, and my worrywart friend here is Owain."

Cam takes a minute to fix his hair a bit differently, pulling it back into a short ponytail, before he follows the other teens over, not wanting to make it easy to identify himself regardless of how sloshed the scientist may be now. He ends up taking a seat on Alex's other side, glancing over towards them every now and then as he leans over on the counter top and listens in.

#Also, I'm really, really sorry about not being around for the roll20 stuff yesterday. I just crashed after being up for like 30 straight hours and felt like smacking myself when I finally woke up.

The lady gives Alex a big smile. "How do you do?" she asks, constructing each syllable carefully in the style of those that want to be sure that they don't slur their words. "Some random guy tried to kidnap me today after I got yelled at by my boss and my boyfriend broke up with me. My day is not going well."

"Sounds like you had it rough." Alex gives the woman a pat on the back before sighing. "My day has been somewhat eventful, but nothing like that... What order did that all happen in?"
Alex had completely forgot that Jojo was still out of his Pokeball until he decides to get up on her lap and try and look over the counter.

"Early in the morning my boyfriend called me to have breakfast. We were having a pretty normal breakfast and then he goes and starts telling me that he has met someone else and that he still wants to be friends. We talk for a bit, but its all rather upsetting. So I get to work, and my mind is not really on it because of the whole thing. I make a few mistakes and so my boss calls me into the office and starts chewing me out for making mistakes. He tells me that sloppiness can not be tolerated and that if I don't shape up I am going to get fired. The job pays well and I have a sick mom, so without it, she might die, so I kiss ass and tell him I'll get my head in the game and everything. I manage to get some good work in after that and its shaping up to be a better afternoon, but then this tall guy with red hair bursts into the place and shouting questions. Security is coming to take him away when he starts sending out pokemon and drags me away. I manage to get away, but now I am afraid to go back to work. The boss is going to ask a bunch of questions and wonder why the guy singled me out and what he was after and a bunch of stuff. So I just couldn't take it, and now I am here and drunk and telling a random gal I don't know all about everything." With all of that coming out in one long run on sentence, the lady kinda collapses on the bar, and you can hear her sobbing a bit.

Her grandpa was so right, alcohol does make people talk quite easily! But now Alex has an obligation to get this woman to stop crying. After a moment of trying to figure out the right way to approach this, the would-be Ranger just decides that this woman needs some rest. "How about I walk you home? Don't want any shifty people trying to take advantage of an upset and drunk young woman, now do we?"
Alex places Jojo on the floor and hops up off the bar stool and holds out her hand. "Jojo here will protect us!"

Cameron can't help but feel a little irritated when he comes up in the drunken woman's rambling story, but isn't really sure why...maybe because she's claiming he singled her out at all, when he just went straight to the first person he saw. But it's not like he can correct her now, not without coming off as creepy or blowing the others' chances of getting any info out of the scientist. In the meantime, he fiddles around with the functions of his Visadex, keeping track of the time before they have to go and meet with Erica as well.

O well... at least it was a suitable way to obtain the information from the scientist, but maybe not the most honorable way. Seems like these guys were the type of people that liked to get things done, which was probably the best. Having grown so protected in such an educated way, there were some things that I didn't yet understand about how to treat people. So I basically sat back and watched, trying to learn her ways for being able to perform the next time.
So it's all in her investigations....

The lady turns away from her sobbing for a bit and says, "I suppose I won't get much work done in the state I am in. I better call in though." She pulls out a phone, and after about seven mistypes, manages to get her boss on the phone, telling him that she can't come in, that she will explain tomorrow and that she is sorry for being kidnapped. With that done, she puts her phone away and says. "My house is over near the Department Store. Get me close and I can walk the rest of the way I think."

Alex raises a brow at that and offers a hand to help keep the woman steady. "Do you have to walk up any stairs to get in? I'm kind of questioning your coordination skills right now with the whole phone thing you just demonstrated. Don't want to have you take a nasty tumble or something. My grandpa once told me about one of his friends that fell down a flight of stairs and ended up with a broken arm, leg and several ribs while drunk."

As of coming from nowhere, as if it were a mere thought that wasn't in her mind until I said it, I lowly said. Plus, you might find trouble on the way, since they already tried to kidnap you once. It's best to have a group of young protectors while you sleep, or at least until you get safely home.

Sighing under his breath, he flags down the bartender while Alex and Owain are busy dealing with the inebriated scientist, wondering if he might get a little extra info on her in case something goes wrong. He thinks they've got time to gather all this info before meeting back up with Erica. "Hi...uh, can I get a water, please?" Once the man is closer, the redhead continues in a softer voice. "And it...looks like one of your regulars is falling apart a bit early, don't it?"

The bartender says, "Eh, that gal only ever comes in here to fall apart. I think her work stresses her out or something, but about once a month she'll show up and drop about a thousand on drinks here, and just wipe herself out." The lady considers the words spoken to her and then says, "I guess I would not turn down some folks walking me to the door of my apartment. The inside has elevators though so you don't need to worry about me falling."
