OK, you and Lea walk down the route for a while, but you manage to spot a small tunnel hidden away a bit off from the path. Lea does not notice it. It does not really look like the tunnels goes in the direction you are going, but you notice it is their. Other than the tunnel the route seems really deserted.

"Well I wanted to make it to Lavender town as soon as possible so we could have a warm place to sleep, but if you have somewhere you want to go a little of the path it shouldn't hurt."

Roofie points towards the tunnel. "That's out of the rain. We could go in there if you'd like."

Lea glances back toward town for a second then nods. "Alright, lets check this place out."
You both make your way into the cave entrance. Its dark inside, but Lea sends out her Growlith who lights a torch that Lea brings out of her pack. The cave seems to consist of a small room with a sign reading "Diglet Cave" and a ladder leading strait down.

Roofie sends out his Cryogonal, and climbs down the ladder.

As you climb down the ladder everything once again becomes dark. You know you reach the bottom only when you find yourself unable to move your feet further down. After a few moments Lea descends as well and with her the glow of the torch. The two of you look around the cavern. There are stalagmites, stalagmites, all sorts of mosses and cave plants and diglets everywhere. You see there heads poking out of the ground every few yards, from every part of the cave. The floor, the walls and the ceiling are covered in diglets. Some of them look at you, others are busy conversing or watching other diglet. A few dugtrio are visible always surrounded by a higher concentration of diglet than the rest of the cave. Other than the few stares the diglet do not seem interested in you or Lea all that much.

Roofie freezes. He takes out his pokedex, and scans both dugtrio, and diglet, to see if they are in any danger of being attacked.

The pokedex mentions that neither are overly hostile. Diglets are pretty laid back for the most part and Dugtrio will only mess with you if you mess with them.
Lea is stunned by the sight of the diglets and only manages to pull out her own pokedex after nearly a minute of straight staring. She looks at you and her expression is one of fear, with a hint of wonder.
"Do you think they'll attack?" she whispers to you.

He shows her his pokedex. "I don't think so." He entertains the idea of catching one for a moment, before discarding it. "We should start moving." He says after deciding that no, Lea was not going to start moving.

"Which way?" whimpers Lea looking around, "Through the diglett or back up?" It is at this instant that a diglett decides to burrow up right between the two of you. Lea let out a short scream and leaps backward onto the ladder where she clings there like some sort of coat wearing spider. The diglett in question looks at her then you and says, "Diglet Dig" then disappears underground again.

"I don't think they'll attack us." He eyes the digglet. "See? That one just came up and disappeared again. We don't have to go this way, but it might be warmer." He watches her, waiting to see if she would come down.

Lea gets down from the ladder some what hesitantly. Then she looks out at the cave proper. "Is this even going the right direction? I suppose it doesn't matter as we weren't going to Lavender for any particular reason. Let me check the map." Lea picks up her Pokedex where she had dropped it when she jumped on the ladder and looked over the map. Then she turns back to you. "Looks like its a pretty long cave, and it comes out near Pewter City. We won't be able to make it all the way through the cave tonight but I suppose it is dry at least. What do you think Pewter or Lavender?"

Roofie looks Lea up and down. "We're both wet." He said, "Let's keep going." He reaches out to take her hand, but pulls it back. "quickly."
