So... saw this on the forum's Union Room. Would you be opposed to Arcran's Pokethrope class? You said to run homebrew by you, so... yeah...
If you are okay with it, in regards to backstory, do you want to decide how I became a monster or are you leaving that up to me? Also, would there be any species, other than legends of course, that you'd want me to steer clear of? I'm thinking Gligar, Scyther, Pawniard, Houndour, Tyrunt, Magmar or Trevenant.

I'm afraid I made the choice to not allow pokemon/human hybrids early in the game. Don't have any problems with them in general, they just don't quite fit with the feel I am going for in this particular game.

Would you consider making Throwing Masteries(a Juggler Feature) a General Feature? My new plan is to make a throwing weapon specialist/Capture specialist

Um... that's usually what a Juggler is. They're not limited to Poke Balls with their throwing skills y'know. In fact, most players opt to use both Classes together, since they're so easy to intertwine, and nothing's stopping you from taking multiple classes during Character Creation.

Yeah, is there a particular reason you don't want to take the juggler class? You won't be able to get both the Throwing masteries and Capture Specialist at level one because of prerequisites, but you can have them both by level 3, which won't take too long to get to. I am not really opposed to making it a general feature if there is a strong reason for it, but I just don't see what that reason is at the moment.

My reason is mostly just flavor, really. I don't want to take juggler, because that's not how I want to play my character. I intend him to focus mainly on one Pokémon(maybe taking Artisan) and his goal to be "catch 'em all" kind of, so the ability to nimbly and quickly switch Pokémon isn't something I need.
The crunchy reason I think Throwing Masteries should be general is two-fold: 1) It's a Feature that could benefit almost any trainer and 2) It doesn't fit with the Juggler class line. One, it begs to be a general feature. Simply, it's description says, "...range of Pokéballs, Ranged Weapons, and other small items." Of that list only Pokéballs are relevant to the Juggler Class and a feature that includes Pokéball is probably better suited for Jailbreakers or Capture Specialists, but any trainer could benefit from it.
Throwing things isn't what a Juggler does, really. A Juggler specializes in the ability to switch his Pokemon or release them at a moments notice. None of the features, excluding Throwing Masteries, mention or use distance as part of their effects; so, at least in my opinion, a Juggler has no more need for said feature than anyone else.
But of course, these are just my opinions and if you disagree, so be it. I'll still make my character, either way.

Yeah, I see where you are coming from. I think the feature being in Juggler might be something of a hold over from PTA where the juggler class was a much more mixed thing, with a focus on thrown item combat as well as pokemon switching. Juggler in PTU only has the one feature that is not directly related to pokemon switching. Are you OK with being a general feature with Adept Acrobatics or Athletics as the prerequisite? You still won't be able to get it at level one, but you won't have to waste features on the Juggler base feature or quick switch.

Yeah that's fine. I appreciate it. Do I get to choose which prereq it requires or is it both?

Also, how will throwing knives be handled? Ammunition? If so, Barrage would be the Combat Edge I get and would it always require me to have 5 knives or what have you? Also, would you be open to my creating a new Weapon Edge that allows for a 1 Target one hit kind of attack, Rock Throw, for instance.
Sorry for all of the questions and concerns.

The prerequisite has an or, so anyone with either adept athletics or adept acrobatics could take it. Throwing Knives will just be a type of short range weapon. I am just going to assume that you have enough for any given fight and that you recover them between fights. You don't have infinite knives, but for the purposes of combat you do. As far as one hit, one target attacks, I think Clean Shot is the edge you are looking for. It even mentions throwing knives in the description.

I don't know how I missed that. I was reading in Game of Throhs, I guess I assumed Ranged meant like bow/gun.
Anyway, I'm gonna edit the original post to have my Sheet.
