Just a note, the GM said that contests aren't very prevalent in the region we're in. Just something to think about. Travel to other regions is possible, just not necessarily easy.

Contests exist in Saffron and not really anywhere else. I don't have anything against contests and if you are interested in participating in them then that will definitely be possible, I just based this world off of the Kanto of Red and Blue and there were no contests there so its something that has not caught on much in Kanto yet.
As far as your sheet goes there are a couple of problems. First, you have 10 points to distribute in your stats at level one for a player instead of 11. Second, you can only put at most five of those points into one stat. So you can put 5 into speed making it 10 total, but you have to put the other five somewhere else.
Once that's sorted out, you are good to go. Post in the "Getting Off the Boat" thread in the Celedon section whenever you are ready.
