Terii was born one of three triplets. The middle child, and the only girl, Terii always felt a bit unappreciated. Her parents, Mei and Zak, loved their children more than anything in the world, but they wanted a more rural and quiet life for their children away from all of the hussle and bussle of Kalstr and the ever growing technology. So they booked passage to Liacara and built a home for them.
Terii was constantly outcasted by her two siblings and as such always was on her own. She used to wander the wilderness and forests whenever she got a chance. One day she stumbled upon some ruins that emitted a constant low hum. She would get a sense of home whenever she entered the area and therefore made it her “Secret Base.” She loved to draw and write poetry and would use the walls of the ruins as her canvas. She would come back the next day and they would be different. The characters she drew would be replaced with dark characters with large eyes and her letters would be transposed into a sort of other language.
And then war broke out. When the first wave of attacks came, Terii was in the Ruins. Scared, she rushed home, but this time it was as if she couldn't get anywhere. As she ran she seemed to pass the same tree and then the same rock and then the same bush over and over again. Eventually the stress starts to overwhelm her and she falls to the ground, unconscious. She wakes to, what appears to be, her drawings surrounding her all making little peeping noises. At least two dozen of them float in a large circle around her and start to close in. Terii screams and they disappear.
She jumps to her feet and starts running towards home again. This time she is able to make progress. She comes upon her home and notices a number of large unmarked vehicles. Frightened, she hides behind a tree, but is noticed by a man in a military uniform. He gives chase to her and as Terii turns to run, she is stopped by her father who scoops her up and runs as fast as he can. He makes it to the forest, but is stopped and confronted by a team of ten men with Pokémon. Zak puts Terii on the ground, hugs her and tells her to run. As she escapes she is pursued by the screams and curses of her father.
She makes it to a large fence and is accosted by one of the men that stopped her and her father. He calls out a Timburr and launches a wooden weapon at the young girl. Suddenly, two beams of energy scream past the girl at the Pokémon and his weapon. One beam knocks away the steel slag and the other makes direct contact with the Timburr and knocks it out. The man recalls his Pokémon and retreats. The girl turns around and sees two floating letters, a 'W' and a 'D.' Their eyes happy and excited. They nuzzle up to the girl motion to the fence.
They float over the fence and urge the girl to follow. Once over the girl sees many people who look less then happy with their situation. She asks around and learns she is in an internment camp for Kalistr natives. Her time in the camp is less than pleasant as she is unable to leave, but she is able to get Pokéballs for her two companions and they started teaching her their abilities. One day she is told to line up and is ushered onto a boat. Considered undesirables by the Liacarans, they are being shipped out to Kanto.
