Hearing Enzuna's words, Zashi feels a but more at ease with idea of meeting the Akadama boss. With a new companion things might not get so hairy. Zashi follows Enzuna's lead and says, "Yes, let us meet the leader of the clan and see what he says."

The man looks a bit taken aback at the sudden shift in attitude, but quickly gives you directions to the headquarters of the Akadama Clan. I'm going to assume the two of you head there. When you arrive, their are a couple more guards at the door who ask you what business you have at the home of the Akadama family. The house itself is large, looking like a mansion with probably a fifty or sixty rooms inside. It is built in the traditional Kanto style.

"We were told we could see the Leader of the Akadama clan here. We would like to train at the (neutral) Dojo, but were told to come here first. May we enter?" Zashi says, with a bow.

Enzuna stays silent, merely peacefully watching the men.

"That's something you'll have to take up with the master. The usual policy these days is that only if you join the clan can you learn at the dojo that we control. Either way, talking to the boss is the way to join up so we might as well take you to him." With that the man leads the two of you into the mansion and along a series of coridors, until you stand in a very large room where a two men and a woman are seated on the floor. The guard bows and then exits the area. The three people seated in the room look up at the two of you. The one on the left is a young looking man with sharp features and shiny black hair. The center man is also young looking, maybe 25 with spiky hair and a very serious expression on his face. The woman is on the right, and she has blonde hair braided in a very complicated style. They seem to be waiting for one of you to make the first move in the conversation.

Zashi kneels and puts his head to the floor. "Masters and mistress, we are here today to talk about the state of hostility in this area." Keeping his face down in respect he continues, "We are from Liacara, my cohort and I, and for hundreds of years we have been in conflict with our neighboring nation, Kalistr, so I do understand how tensions can run high. In my short time in this area I have noticed a lot of sadness in the people living here and, with all due respect, I believe it to be the feud that is the cause. Balance is what is needed and your clan not accepting students from all walks of life at the Saitou Dojo isn't helping things. Again, I understand that you wish to have the scales tipped in your favor, but it is causing much unrest in the community. Even with your dislike of the Kuroa Clan, I'm sure you still care about the community." Zashi keeps his head down, waiting for a return comment.

Enzuna quietly looks at the three, peering into their auras to get a feel for them. "All things need balance. A rock can only be sharpened from that which is of the same strength. If pressed against that which is weaker, it cracks its opposition and stays dull. When pressed against that which is stronger, it breaks in two. In order to truly excel, balance must be restored. We, students of dojo's unrelated to any in the conflict, request to act as mediators."
He bows his head respectfully.

The woman and the man on the left and the right look to the central man who nods at the woman. She turns her head to look at both of you and speaks, "If this was merely a power play, and the greater power between Akadama and Kuroa meant only that one side or the other was stronger and the other weaker then you would be correct. As it is however we of the Akadama have a sacred duty to defeat the Kuroa for if they are not stopped then the people and traditions of this town will be hurt. I am sure that you have noticed that the western part of town is much more traditional then the east? For the most part the western part of this town is privately owned, or owned by one clan or another. The eastern part of the town on the other hand is owned mostly by kanto government officials. They found that they could make a lot of money off of the safari zone and by modernizing various sections of our town. The Kuroa own a lot of land in town, most importantly, several cultural artifacts and stores in the center of town. They plan to sell this to the government, and if they do so we will lose not only our culture and way of life, but also many jobs. They cannot however sell land that they do not truly control, and so long as the area they are trying to control is in conflict it cannot be sold. I'm afraid that we must prevent the Kuroa from destroying this town and so we must be stronger then them. It is regrettable that wandering warriors and those not associated with either clan are also hurt by our decision, but the threat of spies is too great."

Hearing this, Zashi is reminded of his father. Waki always urged that things should be done the traditional way, the right way. "I am no stranger to tradition, my martial form has been handed down through numerous generations. I learned it from my father and he, his. It is one of my dreams to open up my own Dojo and spread my knowledge and history throughout the world. I respect your desire to keep things pure. But how will your beloved culture grow and flourish if you only cater to your people. If I may say so, I believe you should open your doors to others. It is understandable to be particular in your choice of student, but not everyone is out to get you. Myself and my companion here wish to learn your history and strength, but were turned away by your walls and roadblocks."

Sorry Ezuna, forgot to mention auras. The man on the left has a shifty sort of aura, as though his intentions are not direct. The woman has a pure aura, in that she is completely convinced of the rightness of her and her clans actions. Finally the center man has a very vivid aura, with a lot of complex currents running through it.
The woman replies, "I'm afraid the people and tradition of this town are more important to us then the money making of foreigners. Still, we do not wish to prevent learning of the arts except towards those who would use it against us, I will write a letter for you to take to the dojo that will make the gaurds let you pass. I will however require an oath from each of you that you will not strike against the Akadama Clan and you will not use what you learn in the dojo against us."

"We have no intention of using any training against either side. Merely to restore balance. But, you must remember, in the end, if this conflict spirals out of control, the people of the town are the ones hurt the most.
Thank you for your time."
Enzuna gives another bow and waits silently for his companion's thoughts.

"Rest assured, my lady, that when it comes to us, 'foreigners,' it has nothing to do with money, just peace and tranquility. We only wish for the happiness of your people, without whom you have no culture. Anything we learn from you will never be used against you, of course, but with all due respect I cannot say the same of the Akadama Clan as a whole. The hostility of your group is so high that one of your men threatened mine and my Pokémon's life for simply bumping into his arm. An accident that was greatly apologized for, but was met with deaf ears and drawn weapons. I urge you to call a peace summit with the Kuroa Clan, set aside your apparent vast differences and find a mutual solution to all of this for the sake of your home, family, and way of life." With that, Zashi bows his head again and waits for response and dismissal.

The woman says, "Your rebukes sadden me, but I understand your reservations. If you are interested in lunch there is food down the hall, otherwise, I bid you a good day. Should you change your mind and wish to join the Akadama, or even if you simply wish to talk, our doors are open to you."

Since you did not agree to the full oath she did not write you the papers.
