"Fufufufufu... I will do what I can to teach you young warrior, but I believe our styles may be quite dissimilar. Mine is the style of deception and guile, while yours seems to be one of direct action and force, unless perhaps you are greater master of guile than I. Still, I will do what I can. First I would see your style in action. Select one of your pokemon, then you and my disciple that brought you here shall do battle and I will observe."

"Sir." Taking his corner, and with Magnemite poke ball in hand, he prepares to fight.

The ninja from before tosses out a koffing at the same time you toss out your Magnemite.
Ninja 21 Koffing 10 Enzuna 5 Magnemite 3
The Ninja stands in the back, does some hand signs, and suddenly there are three ninja instead of one. The koffing meanwhile moves forward and seems to hit your magnamite with a hand made of shadowy smoke. Assurance: 20084005371d20 1d8+7+12 Dark Physical

The Magnemite doesn't flinch, and merely bounces the smoke hand away with a shock of electricity.
Enzuna looks confused at the Ninjas.
"Well, if I cannot determine the target I want, I will take the one in front of me."
Focusing his spirit energy, Enzuna takes on a meditative pose, legs slightly spread apart with hands clasped in front of him. He opens them up, and holds his palms a foot apart.
His aura becomes more and more focused, until its centered in between his hands, forming a small ball of energy made of a swirl of blue, yellow, and red colors.
He steps forward and forces his palms outward, sending the ball of energy at the Koffing.
"Hyah!"

The combination of the two attacks seems to have injured the Koffing, which has black sludge leeking out of it in a few places. The three ninja dash toward you, striking with Poison Jab. 6847963691d20 3d6+20 Poison Physical The koffing slams itself into your magnamite. Tackle: 1d20 1d8+5+12 Normal Physical

As the ninja rushes at Enzuna, he scans for the high point of the Aura.
"And...here."
With a short burst of energy, he knocks the attack cleanly away.
The Magnemite seems hardly phased, and sends yet another electric shock at the Koffing.
Enzuna uses Detect.

The Koffing seems like it is on its last legs from the attacks, but is still hanging in their. The ninjas strike at you, moving past you as they stab at you with a viscious looking knife. Enzuna staggers heavily, drastically injured by the sludge. He retorts with a draconic strike yet again on the Koffing. He then quickly strikes at the clone ninja on the right.

The draconic attack fells the koffing. The thundershock takes out a copy though and does not strike the original. The two ninja that remain move towards you again in a painful looking strike, but before it lands you both hear. "Halt!" The ninja stops his attack immediately and moves to the other side of the room, bowing. The man who had asked for the fight says, "I have seen enough to know how to help you a little. You have strong pokemon and you are able to act with grace on the battlefield, but you seem to lack experiance fighting people of styles much different then your own. I would assign you a quest in order to fix that problem if you choose to accept my assistance."

Enzuna bows to the ninja in response. His Magnemite continues to float aimlessly, not perturbed in the slightest by the battle.
"Yes, Master. I would gladly take your quest with honor."

"Very well, then here is my quest. In order to help you to learn about how to fight against different styles, I will tell you the names of four different arts. You must fight a practitioner of each of these arts and then return to me and tell me what you learned from the battles. To truly learn the ways of battle, please combat a practitioner of the brutal style, also known as the cruelty style. It is a dangerous style in which the aim is to cause as much pain to the opponent as quickly as possible. Additionally you must fight a master of the old style, those who use meditation as a weapon and focus there energies within so as to be more powerful without. I would also ask that you fight against the straightforward styles present in the fighting gym of Saffron City and finally, I would ask that you do battle against a master of the sword or spear. Do these things and you will return a much greater fighter." (Also, your magnamite gets 20 exp from the battle and you get 2 from it.)

"I will do these things."
Enzuna bows once more.
"Thank you for your assistance, Master Koga."

Are you leaving the gym? If so, where are you headed first?

I will leave the gym to ask around town (Fuschia) about known fighters in the area.
