Arrival

"Actually I just got here as well. I was on the boat from Liacara. I stopped by the pokemon center as soon as I got off, but the place was packed, so I decided to grab some supplies and head east. I am going to try and make it to lavender town before tomorrow but if I don't make it that far their is a small fishing village about half way their that might have some place to stay. If you want to come along I could use the company but its not going to be the warmest of trips and I am leaving as soon as I finish shopping."

He thinks for a minute before replying. "That sounds good. I think I'd like that." He looks around the shop nervously. "What do you think we'll need?"

[Micah]

"I was just planning to get a few days rations, five or so potions and some pokeballs, but you look like you might need some sort of coat or something, maybe an umbrella. I doubt the rain is going to last much longer, but its going pretty hard and you don't want to freeze to death. But, you know, its up to you really." The dark coated figure has at this point gathered the potions and rations that they were refering to and brought them up to the counter. After paying the shopkeeper, they turn back and say, "Whatever you want to get, hurry up. The sooner we get out of this town the better."

Roofie looks at the antidotes he has, and puts them on the shelf. He shrugs. "Yea. Freezing to death would be... uncomfortable." He grabs a coat from one of the hooks, and a few potions "Just in case." He hesitates after buying them, only for a moment, before sliding his jacket over his shoulders, and slipping the potions in his bag. "You said the Pokemon Center was crowded?" He asks.

"Way crowded. That center was probably built for maybe 20 or 30 trainers a night staying there. Instead there is closer to 60. All the people from the boat are there and a bunch more trainers who would have camped out except for the rain." With that Lea leaves the shop and starts walking east down the street.

Roofie, with one quick look in the direction of the pokemon center, jogs after her. him. He catches up with her outside the shop, and falls into step just behind Lea

As Lea and Roofie trudge their way down the street the rain continues to fall ceaselessly. They are getting close to the gate leading out of town when a tall man in a brown trench coat steps out from an alleyway to bar their way. He grins a manic grin and speaks. "Hello kiddies. Its awfully rainy out for the two of you to be out and about." Then he stops smiling and snarls, "Give me your pokemon kids or I'll cut you up."

Roofie shakes his head. "I don't think I'd like that too much." He mutters, fingering both his pokedex, and one of the two pokeballs in the pocket of his new jacket. "I'm sorry, you can't do that. Cuts tend to get infected, and..." Roofie trails off. He looks sideways at his new friend, trying to decide if he will be able to fight with him. "I suppose we'll fight you then." He says.

The man throws a pokeball hard at your face, which misses just barely and sails past you for a bit before releasing a bat like pokemon. A second after he threw the pokeball he draws a knife and rushes at Lea, who manages to step back out of the way. Lea draws out a pokeball of her own and manages to call forth some sort of red dog pokemon between herself and the attacker.

Roofie throws the first pokeball he was fingering, releasing Unown. Roofie uses Borrow on Unown as soon as he is able to.

Meanwhile, Orange makes her way to the pokemon center and finds it without much trouble. The problem however is that it is packed. Pretty much everyone from the boat headed over this way and the line to check out a room or have your pokemon healed is almost thirty people long. The nurse in charge is trying to get the line moving as efficiently as possible, but their may not be enough room for everyone. You see Benjamin close to the front of the line. In addition to the trainers in the line their are a couple of groups huddling in different circles talking and a guy in the corner who appears to be performing some sort of puppet show.
From the ambient voices you pick up that one of the groups is planning to hike to a different city this night, while another group is trying to pool money to rent a hotel room. The center is really warm and stuffy and the coat you were so glad to have seconds ago is starting to get really hot.

I talk to the group planning to walk elsewhere, although I'm worried that I won't have the stamina to make it to another city in one night. If it seems like I won't be able to keep up I will talk to the group planning on getting a hotel room.

The thug decides to take a stab at the red dog blocking his way and manages to get a hit, though the damage he does is minimal. Lea moves away from the man and her dog and steps closer to Roofie. Go ahead and make the attack and damage rolls for the move you are borrowing. Then tell me what your Unknown is going to do on its turn.

When Orange moves into the group of people planning to hike to a different town, it becomes pretty obvious that the hike isn't that bad. There is about a half hour hike through some grasslands then you'll be about at the gate to Saffron City. The whole thing will probably take not much longer than an hour assuming that you don't run into any trouble. In this group there are about four or so people excluding yourself. It looks like Benjamin has made it through the line successfully and he waves to you when you look over to check.

"Please don't leave without me!" Orange says, then she walks over to ask Benjamin if he's interested in coming with her.

"Well, I did reserve a room already, but considering the what I manged to pull off a few minutes ago it might be a good idea to get out of town. So, sure I'd love to come with you." As he and you and the group head out of town he calls forth his pokemon as he promised and you scan an Eevee and a Hoppip. He asks also if he can see your other pokemon as well as the group of the six of you leave through the north gate of Vermilion. (If there was anything you absolutely needed to do in town before you left you can have done it. The group was not in a super big hurry.)

Roofie hits the man, and does 36 damage. He calls to Roofie to use his only move. <ooc: Both these moves are Psychic. Do I win attack bonus? Unknown is going to get stab>
