War continues to rage on the borders of Liacara and Kaliastr. More and more refugees flee the country, while reports come in of attacks upon civilians on both sides of the border. The leaders of both countries are adamant that this war is just and no peace seems foreseeable in the future. Unovan armed forces stand by, waiting on a decision as to whether they should join the conflict in order to allow more civilians the opportunity to flee the warring countries. Kanto and Hoenn continue to accept refugees, while Johto and Sinnoh continue to turn them away. A statement by Pokemon League CEO Lorelei indicates that she believes this conflict began only because of the lack of a strong League presence in either region. The Rangers continue to send in their people wherever either nations allow them to, evacuating citizens and using local pokemon to provide power and shelter to the citizens that refuse to move.

Reports come in that the city of Fuschia has been attacked by commandos of some kind. The identity of the attackers remain unknown, but many hostages have been captured and most of the land area secured by the invaders. Reports indicate that the gym is still defending itself. The Ranger Organization and the regional police are moving forces into the region, but the citizens that have been taken hostage are preventing decisive action.
