"Would you care to surrender? I know Hane will finish this now and I'd rather your Oddish not get anymore hurt than it already is."
Kage orders the attack should she reject to surrender, but recalls the Sneasette if she does surrender and congratulates her on a good battle.

"Good of you to think about my pokemon." She returns the oddish. "My oddish has been losing a lot lately, I need to find a way to get it some wins. Anyway, do you want to battle another of my pokemon or are you done for now? My other pokemon are a bit stronger." 20 xp for your Sneazette

Kage agrees, "Sure. My other Pokémon isn't as strong as my Sneasette. Meet Daku." Kage tosses out his Seedot. (Speed 3)

The girl gives your pokemon a bow and then calls out her own, a Gloom. The Gloom seems faster than the Seedot, but it seems to be waiting for the Seedot to make the first move.

"Daku, toughen up!" The Seedot's woody exterior shimmers and becomes more like rock than plant. (Harden)

After the attack, Kage immediately recalls Daku. "Yes, that's exactly what I thought would happen. Your gloom is much to strong for my friend here. I'm sorry for the wasted time."

"No problem, its my job to battle and many times pokemon are just too different for battles to really be beneficial to either side. Feel free to come back any time to battle with any of my pokemon again." She smiles and takes you back to the reception desk at the edge of the gym.

Kage asks the receptionist, "Do you know where I might be able to find some Dark POkémon, in the immediate area?"

"Hmm... As far as I know, the only dark pokemon native to Kanto is Umbreon. They are evolutions of eevee, which are themselves pretty rare. On the other hand, Murkrow fly through the region pretty commonly, and if you are willing to do a bit of tracking and traveling then you can track one down. Other than that, the only dark pokemon you will find in Kanto are either rare loner pokemon, or imported by some sort of pokemon selling organization."

"Right, understood. Thank you again." Kage leaves and gets on the phone with Anne. He asks her what kind of Pokémon she has available for sale.

"At this very moment I have magicarp, rattata, machop, koffing and a single Mr. Mime. Given a bit of time I have access to many many more. Give me a pokemon name and I will give you a cost and time estimate."

"No, none of those interest me. I'm looking for Dark pokémon. Possibly Absol or Scraggy. Is that doable?"

"For an Absol, we are looking at about a week and about 6,000 pyen. For a Scraggy, about four days and about 3,000. Either would be fairly low level. My current best deal on a dark pokemon, is a newly discovered squid type pokemon, that I could get to you in two days for 2,000. Any of those deals sound good to you?"

"All of them sound good. Get them all. I'll have payment for you tomorrow. If all goes well, of course." Kage heads back to the HQ.
