So this forum is now up and running. Feel free to talk about whatever here and let me know if you want any different forum sections. How is everyone's break going?

Sorry I haven't been on here much yet, my internet was on the fritz. It seems to be working better now. I'll have a character up soon.

The crayon thing works pretty well for making the numbers on the dice more readable. I rubbed a blue crayon on the numbers on mine and they're much more readable now. I'll bring some crayons home after the break for anyone who wants to use them.

So my internet is fucked to all hell. But in two days I'll be back in MA anyways... where we have real internet. So whatever. Hopefully it'll be back to normal by the time I get back to Montana, but last time it took two weeks to get better. So blargh.

One of us should write our character in first person, one of us should write in second person, and the other should write in third person. It'd be fun, really. Yeah.

That is sorta how it was going, with you writing in first, sarah writing in third and me writing in second, except I switched to third for the latest post now that their is more than one person who is seeing stuff and things like that.

Um I can switch back to third if you want, I thought we were all going to try to be consistent, so I switched to first. Um, tell me what perspective to write in.

I was kidding... I think we should write in first person, it seems far less awkward. I don't really know what standard protocol is for these sorts of things though.

Just to set a precedent lets go with players writing in first person and the dm writing in third person. I think that really makes the most sense. If the whole group is seeing something at the same time I might end up writing in second for that scene ie "You see the Mewtwo walk down the street." but as long as you guys are in different places then I will write in third so that it makes as much sense as possible.

I don't like first person. Fine. Present, or past tense?

I guess it really doesn't matter that much which you write in. If you care that much go ahead and write in third person. That is how everyone writes in the other online campaign I am in. Lets go with present tense though as that makes more sense for RPGs.

I've been reading a roleplay on the TVTropes forums, and they like to use spoiler tags for secrets and out of character stuff, which seems like a pretty cool idea to me. Someone posted some code for adding this to proboards here: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=codedatabase&action=display&thread=70316 I assume Micah is the only one who might have enough access to implement it. What do you guys think?

KK, I think I got it working. Not sure if it is necessary for doing out of character stuff, but at least it works now and spoiler tags are important.

I like it for OOC because it helps the board read more like a story in the end. Why does it require you to add "=Spoiler" to the first tag though? The code page says to do " " but it just returns it all as normal text when I do that.

No Idea why it requires that, but it doesn't have to be =Spoiler it can be =whatever and it will just say whatever on the button.
