Leona briefly put a hand over her mouth to hide the surprise at seeing this Mr. Lion fellow. Surprised, but she'd dealt with her fair share of handsome gentlemen with money to throw around. She nods at him her composure was set again, putting the image of the Raticate amid the carcasses of Rattata and what remained of the humans it had eaten. "I suppose staying in a mansion would be a nice change of scenery from what I went through earlier, but are there any strings attached for doing so? I'm not sure how much longer my stay in Celadon will be, assuming my observation and eventual challenge of the Celadon Gym goes as well as I plan for it to, but that's certainly a strange thing to offer a photographer, no matter how good her work might be."

"You could call me a bit of an old fashioned sort of man. In the past, many rich lords and ladies would sponsor talented artists and give them everything that they needed so that they could work on their art uninhibited. In exchange, the artists would display their art for their benefactor and occasionally create pieces of work that that their benefactor was interested in. I would like to promote that sort of connection with artists whenever possible. A stay at my mansion would not be conditional on entering into that sort of a relationship, but should be thought more of as a preview, a look at the sort of rewards one might gain from working with me." The man pauses and then says, "Before we get too ahead of ourselves however, I would appreciate a look at the picture. I have a great deal of respect for Nurse Joy's artistic sense, which is why I have come here with such a powerful initial bid, but I insist on seeing what I am paying for before I pay for it."

She hoped her expression wasn't too cynical when she nodded and procured the image, setting it on the table for the gentleman to see. "It's still at large down there. I think was a little underprepared to take it on at the time."

"I suppose a mansion's better than public. Alright, Mr. Lion. I think I can handle myself for a night or so in a stranger's home." that doing so could lead to more work was, she hoped, an unspoken possibility - no need to press her luck about it, anyway.
"This might be a bit of a non-sequitor, but is your home anywhere near the Celadon City gym? I was planning on checking it out once my financial situation improved some."

"Almost as far from each other as it is possible to be in this city I'm afraid, but don't worry, I have a car and I can give you a ride. I'll have you transfer the picture over to my home computers once we are at my house, and I will pay you then." Assuming you agree, you walk outside with Mr. Lion, and enter a long black limo. It has a driver of course, so you and Mr. Lion are in the back together. "So, do you frequently find yourselves in sewers and other dangerous places while you hunt for photo-ops, or was this a special occasion? If you are not averse to danger, I can think of a few more locations and creatures for a photo of which I would pay a great deal."
Once you get to the gym you can see that most of its lights are off. "I am not sure if this place is open this late, but feel free to check. I'll wait in the car." Assuming you head inside, you find a lone receptionist sitting behind a desk in the front area.
"Welcom to the Celedon Gym. I am afraid I am the only one here this late, but if you have any questions or if you want to set up a meeting with our gym leader, then I can help you out."

"I've had my run ins with people and the odd Pokemon that are a less than happy to be photographed before this. The sewer was a first, but I'm always looking for new ways to photograph this crazy world of ours, even if it means I have to get mixed up in some of that insanity." Leona nodded. Once they'd arrived, she approached the receptionist and said,
"I'd like to see about challenging this gym as soon as possible. It would be my first gym experience, if that's any kind of problem." Leona explained. "And my Pokemon aren't particularly well versed when it comes to battling, but I'd like to learn what I can from challenge."

"Come by at ten tomorrow if you want to take the gym challenge. There are also gym trainers that are happy to battle and train with anyone here between the hours of 7am and 9pm. It will be difficult to make it very far in the challenge if this is your first gym, but it should be worth doing anyways." Assuming you head out after that, you get back in the car and are driven to Mr. Lion's house. While you are driving, Lion asks about your schedule tomorrow and says he has a potential photo op for you tomorrow if you have some time. When you arrive at the house, there are many servants, one of which takes you up to a room which has been prepared for you. The room is enormous, with a king sized bed and huge windows that look out to the mountains north of Celedon. The servant asks if you there is anything you want and then departs if there is not.
#So since you are going to be off doing crazy stuff in California for a while, here is how I figure we can go with this game. We run the gym challenge and then Mr. Lion takes you on crazy adventures to wacky places. We can run that until you have to go, and then just kinda assume you are doing that while you don't have access to the internet. Whenever you get back your character will be getting back from the crazy adventures and I can throw some levels and such at you and put you in the right place chronologically with everyone else. Does that sound reasonable?

"Ten in the morning's the earliest I can take a gym challenge, but they've got their junior trainers taking battles as early as 7. My sweet little Flan could use a new Technical Machine to help me out at the gym, however, so I'm more than willing to take on some work any time before the grass mistress herself deigns to appear." she responded to Lion in the limo. Once she'd arrived at the mansion again, she simply asked what the best place to be to train her Pokemon before she went to sleep for the evening was, and if there were any other trainers living in the mansion at the time.
#Sounds like a plan. I've got something approaching a leave date, too, but I'll have to get back on you to confirm it.

Lion: "I'm afraid the places I want photographed are a bit further out of the way then a few hour window will allow for, but I can give you an advance if you are willing to put yourself in debt for a short while."
Servant: "There are several small training rooms, with equipment for training and for safety, and then there is a regulation battlefield in the courtyard. Currently we are entertaining five guests aside from yourself. Four of them have pokemon and two of the battle professionally, while the other two are reasonably proficient. The last guest was once a skilled battler but has given up on raising pokemon himself, preferring to rent them for tourneys instead."

"There is one event and two pokemon that I wish to have photographed tomorrow. The event is the eruption of a specific volcano, and the pokemon are Arcanine and Dragonair. The volcano picture will require only your artistic talents, as we will simply fly over it in my jet. The other two are going to requires some leg work as well as talent. Once again we will take my jet to somewhere close by where they are supposed to live, then we will hike out to find them and photograph them. Does this sound reasonable to you?"

"Absolutely. I'm curious about this Arcanine and Dragonair event, though - those are moderately uncommon Pokemon - where are you trying to have me track them down?"

"Arcanine can be found near volcanoes somewhat frequently, and much more frequently before and after the eruption, so we will be checking the volcano island out on foot before the eruption and after, trying to find an Arcanine. As far as dragonair, they are known to live deep underwater in the lakes of the Safari Zone, as well as in remote lakes in other jungle areas. I happen to know of a perfect little jungle island that has had several reports of dragonair sightings in recent years. We'll trek through the jungle and look for ponds."
