I would not worry Moltres. There will always be wars. If there are any that can be avoided, it is best to focus on fighting the ones we need to.

Moltres speaks, "Based on the brief viewing of Kanto that I made when I first awakened, I can think of a few different threats we could try to turn him against. The organization known as Team Rocket is in the process of taking over the city of Saffron. They are criminals, though they might be better than the cities current leadership. There is a large number of building sized Tentacruel that are on their way to attack the east coast of Kanto. One of the elite four is combating them, but should she fail, then they could do a fair bit of damage. There are an incredible number of pokemon in the Celedon region that have been experimented on and are now quite dangerous. Wiping out the impure pokemon might not be kind, but it may be nessessary. And then of course, there is an army of bug pokemon in Viridian Forest that wants to wipe the world clean of non-bugs. We need to decided who to try and send him against based on what we can see of his personality, as well as whatever interests we have in stopping these various threats."

Sadly we can't have him attacking Team Rocket, as most of them are not in the public eye, and civilian causalty would be too high. The tentecruel are certainly a danger, but the bugs don't have any counter to them yet. Now the bigger question is...do we wish to reveal ourselves? I wonder if he doesn't already know who we are." |

Moltres volunteers to go and set up such a meeting. An hour and a half later, you are all sitting with the king in the same tent, except everyone else is gone. Its just the four of you and the king in a massive tent. You explain the basic idea of your plan. The king stares at you all, and then laughs, "You know, you good guy types are not very organized. I got exactly one envoy from the bug hordes, and yet you are the seventh group of do-gooders saying that they want to destroy me, but that the horde is a bigger enemy, and they want to team up for now. Some of the more notable names that have swung by to say this are Entei and Sabrina. The later offered to sweeten the deal with a marriage. I'll offer you the same deal I have every one of the others. I'll help fight the bugs, but in exchange I want protection from you lot for fifty years. A promise that so long as I don't slaughter the innocent or try and expand my empire beyond what I already have and what I conquer fighting the bugs, you won't come in here and kill me. Getting someone else to do that is off limits too. You get your help, you limit my conquest of the good people of the realm, but I still get a little conquering, and I get a chance to stick around for a few years and actually try to keep together a stable government. Deal?"

According to your proposal, there is no pressure for me or my comrades here to aid you should you become under attack. I assume that you have a similar deal with the other 'do-gooders'. Should an attack come from us, I believe those that are allied with you will either take the opportunity to remove the possible threat that is your 'conquest' or simply not aid you in hopes that your government fails and is defeated. I see no reason to accept your proposal, if for no other reason then you have already agreed to not attack this land. So, I urge you to reconsider my request and, as we've come here peacefully, not issue any more threats."
